Misoprostol for blighted ovum

I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum on Thursday (June 18), my dr. recommended me to take misoprostol (4 tablets 200mg vaginally all at the same time), in which I did.  I had cramping and slight bleeding, but nothing more.  Today (June 19), I called my dr. back and explained the situation, so they prescribed me another dose of misoprostol (same dosage as the day before).  However, the pills would not stick (not to be too disgusting, they did not stay in my vagina).  I'm waiting to hear from the dr. I was just wondering has anyone had this happen to them?
Thank you!

Yes. In fact, my doctor said that would happen. The pills should dissolve within an hour or two, and she suggested putting them as high up in the vagina as possible, then inserting a tampon until they dissolved. You do need to take the tampon out right after though, because you could risk infection.
