Refusing a Paci!!!

My LO is 11 weeks and she is exclusively BF. However, she
will not take a paci!!! I have become
a human pacifier!! HELP!!!

I don't have a lot of ideas. Except for don't let yourself be a paci! When she's hungry feed her, then be done. Don't let her just chew on your nipple . She will learn eventually.

And also, try a bunch of different brands. Maybe you just haven't found her brand. My son only likes the avent brand , as did my daughter.

My son won't take a pacifier either and tries to use me as a pacifier. I encourage him to suck on his hands to self soothe. While it can be frustrating at times that LO won't take a pacifier, I am happy that I won't have to break him from the habit later!

Try a different brand. My LO only takes a Nookie. Refused the Avent and Dr. Brown ones.

My baby took one when she was younger, now she's 14 weeks and absolutely refuses. She uses her hands now or a Sophie giraffe. Maybe try directing her hand to her mouth? I think around 12 weeks is when they really discover their hands and realize they can put them in their mouths. Hang in there!

My daughter would do the same thing until I got her a Soothie pacifier. You can find them at Walgreens.

I daughter will only take the soothie pacifier she got in the hospital. I have a brand new one that's the same exact thing and she won't take it. All I can say is there's a ton of different styles out there. Hopefully something works! Good luck!
