35 +3 when my water broke. In the NICU for 9 hrs. At my hospital all babies under 36 wks have to go. Some jaundice and blood sugar issues but nothing big
36 weeks. But I had preterm labor at 31 weeks, and came close to delivering them then. After that I was on bedrest until baby A's water broke at week 36.
Married07.07.07.Mom to 3:Ruby 11/08and Oliver & Austin12/11
Made it to 37 weeks, c section and no NICU time. My water didn't break, I went in for ultrasound (was going for weekly ultrasounds) and Baby B wasn't moving much so Dr decided to do c section that evening (I chose c section, had it planned for the next week anyways).
I'm currently 36 weeks 1 day.... hoping to make it to my scheduled c-section on July 7. 2 weeks from today! Yikes! Can't believe how fast this pregnancy flew by!

Just delivered my boy/girl twins at 38weeks via RCS. I'm only 5'2" nobody thought I would make it to my scheduled date. Babies have no complications. I do attribute my success to the fact that I stopped working at 32 weeks. I had a very physical job and my belly was just getting in the way. I did stay active watching my toddler but could rest when needed.
I have not posted here in awhile, as my twins are now 5, but I thought I would chime in, I went into sudden labor at 35 weeks and 5 days and had an emergency c-section, I was totally shocked and not ready.
I was one of those people who walked into the hospital convinced they were not in labor, I went it for monitoring since my babies were suddenly not active, it turned out I was in active labor and so dilated they were afraid to touch me in fear the babies would just fall out.
I thought for sure I would make it to my scheduled C-section at 38 weeks.
No bedrest or complications prior to that.
Our twins were not in the NICU but the special care nursery, my little girl was there for 3 days and went home with me and our little boy was there 5 days, they were 4lbs 10 oz and 5lbs 10 oz at birth.
I too was advised by my MFM not to do anything starting at 8 months, and I could not fit behind the wheel of my vehicle at that point anyways since I was carrying all out front.

Question: for those of you who had your twins earlier than expected, did you know ahead of time at all? Or was it really sudden? I just want to know when I should be prepared that they may come, and if I may have a little bit of a warning from my doctor. Thanks!
I stopped working at 32 weeks, and I made it to 35+2 with my girls. They tried to come at 34 weeks but we were able to stop labor with turbaline shots. There was no stopping labor the second time since my water broke on its own in the middle of the night. I went in to the hospital at 5cm dialed at 100% effaced. Labor moved quickly for me and wasn't anticipated since I didn't really notice my contractions until I got to the hospital.
Edit: I also wanted to add that we didn't need any nicu time! We dealt with some blood sugar issues and stayed 3days at hospital because of it but that's cleared up and both girls are doing great! Was able to deliver both girls vaginally and avoid csection too!
I delivered at 34 weeks but was admitted to the hospital 3x before that starting at 28 weeks. I was a resident there from 31 weeks until I delivered due to severe preeclampsia. I had failed blood pressure tests & they found protein in my urine at my regular Dr appts and was sent in to the hospital. When I first found out I had twins, they said I would go no longer than 38 wks. When diagnosed with preeclampsia, they dropped it to 37. When it became severe, they dropped it to 34. I was induced at 34w 1d. So yes, plenty of notice!
Currently 37w1d preggo with di di girls. Stopped work 2 days ago. Have my C scheduled for 38w and looking like I will make it! Both girls are over 6lbs

I delivered by emergency C section at 35/3. Twin A was footling breech and my one was worried about them interlocking with vaginal delivery. My water broke suddenly and without warning.
My boy spent 12 days in NICU for issues related to surgery complications and not to being early. My little girl had two days in the NICU for jaundice. We are in Canada though and here babies are kept in NICU probably longer than needed. We were so ready to be outta there
I just had my twin boys on 6/16. I was infuced at 37w4d. I delivered both boys vaginally, they weighed 6lbs13oz & 7lbs5oz--no NICU time. The hospital sent us home on Thurs 6/18.

I was somewhat prepared, they closely watching everything for weeks so they prepared me to go early, but I was still somewhat in shock when I had to be induced!
Emergency C-section at 27w-3days. Twin had twin to twin transfusion. I went in for pain by my ribs bc baby b was taking all the fluid and stuck under my ribs. They drained some fluid from his sack. Was in the hospital & monitored for 2 days after that. Thought I was going home but then I developed something called mirror syndrome & they had to do an emergency c-section. Babies spent 73days in the NICU. Roller coaster, but they are 5months old now home & so far no issues since home.
They are identical & were sharing the placenta. So they were sharing all the blood & nutrients. That's why they had me going for check ups every 2 weeks because of the added risk. But they had their own sacs so no consurn of cords tangling.
35+1 but I went into labor early bc of undetected Cholestasis. If we had caught it earlier and I got to go on medicine I think I would have made it to my scheduled c section at 38 weeks
