Goodbye for now..

Heartbroken to say goodbye for now, we went to the ER on Saturday after I noticed some brown discharge, we fully expected to hear "this is normal, and your baby looks healthy" ... but instead we heard quite the opposite, the ultrasound showed no heartbeat and our baby measured 2 weeks behind. This means that shortly after my 9 week appointment that strong heartbeat of 170 suddenly stopped... I'll never make sense of this. After miscarrying at home through most of Sunday we returned to the hospital at 3am as I had lost a lot of blood and the pain had become unbearable, at 6am Monday morning they performed a D&E, we left the hospital Monday evening with only a teddy bear gifted by our sweet nurse. My husband and I have been holding each other close, and trusting that God has a bigger plan. Praising him for the precious memories we do have, thankful that our child will only know joy and perfect love.

i can completely empathize. it happened with my first end of 2014. It was one of the hardest moments my husband and I had to go through. Lonely too because there was not very many people who went through that around me. Everyone kept saying to us --- "miscarriages are so common" which did not help us at all. Keep trusting God that he has a greater plan. Do what you have to do to cope. I went straight back to work - got the D&C on Saturday and went to work on Monday to get my mind off of it. my hgb was 8 but i still went to work because i'm sort of a workaholic and needed to just not think about it. My parents and sisters all took turns flying in and spent a week with me.  reach out to your loved ones. Sending prayers your way.

I'm really sorry. Keep holding your husband close, and your very last line, amazing, because I can't imagine how hard it is to handle and understand what you are going through, I think you have a very healthy view. God will take care of your angel.
