Pubic bone

My public bone for the last month has been KILLING me, it's to the point I can hardly move some days, the nurse said it's normal and just the bone expanding getting ready for giving birth. I'm asking my doctor when I go in next week but If anyone else has this problem is there something I can do to help with the pain?

I just made a board about this the other day!! It sucks and you can't do much of anything.. Ice it, rest.. That's pretty much it. It hurts and I totally feel your pain. The only relief is birth

I went through an entire week of such severe pelvic pain that I had tears in my eyes with every movement I made. While it hasn't completely gone away (and it won't because it truly is a matter of your body getting ready for birth), my chiropractor was able to adjust both my hips, which were out of alignment likely due to the hormones loosening the ligaments and making everything down there so open. Again, this could just specific to me but I felt like the adjustment did wonders- releiving both what felt like muscular and bone pain in my pelvic, legs and crotch area.

I also have been careful when I move or change positions- I always keep my knees together as to not open my hips or legs. I read a tip which has helped with driving: sit on a plastic bag to help you swivel out of the car seat, rather than one leg at a time. That, coupled with sleeping with a pillow between my legs and resting as much as possible, was all I could do from a non medical perspective. The belly belt type things really didn't work for me and I felt they were more geared to back pain, which I didn't have.

Google prenatal cradle, buy one, thank me later my doctor recommended it for this same problem. Works for me like a charm

SPD - symphysis pubis dysfunction or pelvic gridle pain. Not nice had it with last pregnancy and needed crutches.bad This Time Round aswell
