September 2015 Moms

There's no more room- 29 weeks

im getting scared-- there's literally no more room for baby, due sept 1. I'm so uncomfortable and tight... I just feel like I should be due sooner... There's no way... Anyone else?!?!

I'm 5'3, petite... Started out very fit.. I'm just getting worried that physically I have no room left

  • I'm due the first week of September too, 5'5, and I have been saying the exact same thing. "How do I have 2 1/2+ months left?! Where will baby even go?!" Lol. But in the words of my mom "you'll stretch." Lol
  • I started both of my pregnancies at 5'1 and less than 100lbs. You'll make enough room, its amazing what the human body can do.
  • If you think you're out of room now just wait lol. The skin will stretch and you'll keep on growing.
  • I'm also due September 1st and I've been telling my husband for a few weeks now there is no more room for baby boy to grow! He loves to remind me that the worse is yet to come. Especially after I eat and my belly feels stretched to the max.. I don't see how it can get any bigger!
  • My best friend just had her son a couple of weeks ago and was in the same boat. She's very small. By 30 weeks she was extremely uncomfortable. She ended up having her son 2 weeks early. She legit ran out of room in there because he was born perfectly healthy but small at 5lbs. I don't know if that's normal for smaller woman but her delivery was rough due to her small pelvis. If he was much bigger I don't know that she would have been able to have him vaginally.

  • I'm totally with you. I'm 5'2". I get my hip bones and ribs kicked/ punched at the same time. I can't slouch and get a breath. I feel you for sure. September is a long way away for

OMG yes! yesterday I started thinking the same thing and I am 5.6'  :((
  • I'm only 26 weeks and 5'6" and I wonder how I can get bigger and still walk. It's amazing how our bodies can handle this.
  • I'm tall, 5'10, but I've always had a small, slender frame. I've gained 35 lbs so far, and my belly feels sooo HEAVY. And when she kicks, it's not a cute little kick, it's a full roundhouse kick in either my bladder, lungs, or cervix. Yesterday I looked at my fiancé and pretty much sobbed "I want this baby OUT."
Due September 17th, and I don't know how much more my body can handle. :((
  • Due September 23rd but I've been feeling this, especially in my rib cage area. Baby boy is usually pretty low, but the last week and a half, my organs feel like they're ALL squished up inside my ribs. My sternum feels like its about to pop. Sooooo uncomfortable.
  • I feel the same way some days! But I realize even though my belly feels huge now, it's nothing compared to an 8/9 month belly. The stretching is going to be so uncomfortable though.

  • You all are amazing --- thank you for responding!! I'm glad I'm not alone... May have cried last night as I wrote it, just felt like I couldn't do it anymore! Everyone hang in there! Much love!!!

This exactly. I am measuring ahead of my EDD and know I am only going to get bigger.
  • I don't have this exact problem, not a petite girl by any means, but it does get uncomfortable and awkward. Maybe a belly band or support band would help and take some of the pressure off. They have them at most maternity stores where I am.
  • Im 28 weeks and 5'3 and i feel the same way. I think smaller women get a lot bigger in the belly. Very uncomfortable and harder and harder to sleep each night. But we are so close!

Also, I feel for mammas with twins. By now I bet they look like 9 months.
  • Amen! Best friend had twins in January. She is my size and she never once complained - she is a rockstar. Hoping I can grab some of her inner strength!
  • Definitely understand, just was telling a friend today how miserable I am cause I feel like there's no room left. Eating is a chore because I feel even worse afterwards. I know it's bad but if I delivered anytime starting at the 36 week mark I wouldn't be worried or upset since that's considered full term.
  • I'm 4'10". I feel ya...I'm a butterball!
  • Don't forget the belly creams, lotions and potions! Lol. It will help with the skin stretching and itching.

Due Sept 2 and I've been looking 9 months for like the past month, lol.

I was just thinking about this today. Every appointment they measure my belly. I'm on track which is great, but then I started thinking. Going with what is considered full term, is my belly is expected to measure 37-42 inches?

I was so uncomfortable today that I actually thought about asking my dr to put me on bed rest so I can work from home. I have a desk job, sigh.
  • I'ver been wondering the same thing. 27 weeks here and I swear my belly feels like a medicine ball. It is so tight and hard to move at times.

  • I woke up this morning with such bad back pains! Im 5'3 at 28 weeks and am sitting at work freaking out like how am I going to make it to September?!!  :((
  • I'm 5'8" and feel like there's no room left. I'm normally pretty tiny - small bones and waify like. But I seriously don't know how my body is going to make it to 40 weeks. My breathing is affected and I get horrible heartburn all the time.

I'm 5'5 and due September 3. I'm still fit (have to be for my job as a personal trainer), but baby is ALL front and I look like I stuck a basketball under my shirt. Your skin will stretch, but will be uncomfortable, but I make sure to apply lotion twice a day to help with the itching. I've started struggling with tying my shoes and getting off the floor with my clients. Thankfully, most of them are women and have had kids so they understand why I can't move too quick or nimbly.

Yep.  I, for one, do.  At 26 weeks I was measuring as if I was 36 weeks.  I am now almost 29 weeks and am HUGE.  I can't leave the house without someone asking me if I'm ready to pop any day.  Their faces when I tell them I have hopefully another 8 or more weeks to go is priceless.

So trust me ladies, there is still room.  Your body can do amazing things!!

I have been working from home (also had a desk job) since 24 weeks.  My OB didn't want me commuting anymore.  Sitting on my couch instead of my desk chair has done wonders for my aches and pains.  Definitely ask your OB.
  • Your body will definitely stretch to accommodate but man is it uncomfortable! I have the most trouble in the morning when I get out of bed. It's like a workout and it's so painful. I have to walk (hobble is a better word) around for a good 10 minutes before the pain subsides. My son asked me this morning why was I walking funny, was my leg asleep. lol

Oh yes I plan on it. DH supports me too which is great. I also commute an hour to work. Fingers crossed that our OB agrees.
