What brands do you guys use?

Re: Shampoo and face wash

  • The same as before I was pregnant...Herbal Essence, Garnier or Dove.  I alternate.

  • The same as I used before Herbal Essence and Cetaphil face wash

  • Clinique face wash, bumble and bumble shampoo/conditioner
  • I use a bunch of different shampoos (a bit of a product junkie) and face washes. I think the only thing that has a remote chance of harm is Retin-A, but that's only in pill form.

  • I alternate shampoos but have been using Neutrogena face wash for close to a year and it seems to keep my skin the clearest.
  • Aveda shampure shampoo and conditioner and proactiv for my face.

  • Shiseido face product and Pert for hair. It's honestly the best anti frizz shampoo I've found, and I've tried a lot!
  • I use Castile soap and coconut milk for hair and first aid beauty red clay face wash.
  • Pantene and clean and clear
  • Organix shampoo and conditioner, Neutrogena Naturals with baby oil/coconut oil face wash

I use John Frieda Brilliant Brunette, but will alternate with Herbal Essences temporarily when my hair gets too greasy (it's great at stripping oils!) I only wash my face with water but I used to use Cetaphil in my acne/dry skin days.
  • MyChelle cleanser and Shea butter on the face and Burt's Bees in the hair.
  • Aveda shampure shampoo and conditioner and proactiv for my face.

I could be totally wrong here!...but a girlfriend of mine a few years ago was told by her doctor to stop using pro active during her pregnancy because it is harmful to the fetus. Maybe worth asking your doctor about??
  • Perfectly Posh face products and Giovanni Shampoo and Conditioner (the purple and white containers).
    BFP #1 - EDD 4/18/13 | DS born 5/1/13. 9 lbs. 14 oz., 22 inches long.

    BFP #2 - EDD 1/25/16
  • Paul Mitchell and Mary Kay.

  • I like the Sexy Hair products, also Paul Mitchell. For face, I use all Bare Minerals products.
  • I use all Lush products: hair, face, and body.
  • tresemme shampoo&C
Murad face wash. I had severe acne for EVER until I started using Murad. I even had chemical face peels that didn't touch my acne. It's the only thing that has made my face clear up and get rid of scarring.
  • Where can I get Murad?
  • I avoid highly chemial ingredients, even prior to pregnancy. But even more so now to prevent any weird harm.... mainly I avoid parabens, sulfates, and articical frangrances if possible.

I used Weleda moisturizer, Alba face wash, & an Eminence mask a few times a week. For hair I use Jason Sea Kelp shampoo & switch between Avalon Organics and some other natural conditioners. I mix a few together. Also while we are talking about beauty routines, I use Josie Maran and Tarte for my cosmetics. All vegan/paraben free.
  • Aveda shampure shampoo and conditioner and proactiv for my face.

Hi, and thanks for bringing that up. :) I just wanted to respond to this in case there are any other proactiv users with concerns. My OB said that using proactiv on my face was totally fine. There may be other OBs out there with differing opinions so, as with any OTC topical or med, it's probably just best to ask if you are worried.

  • I use dove for shampoo and conditioner. My hair is super thick/curly/frizzy and it seems to do the best. I won't even get into the products to tame the beast, though. Ha!
  • John masters organics shampoo and conditioner. I use coconut oil + Castile soap to wash my face and jojoba oil to moisturize. I also use paraben free makeup
  • Bioceutica Intuitiv errythang. Shampoo, conditioner, face wash and all other face steps (i.e. moisturizers, toners). They have a jade clay sugar scrub and it is a must have in the summer. It's my favorite. And free of all the yucky stuff for my skin and the environment.
  • My doc said Benzoyl peroxide is fine. I used it during my first pregnancy two years ago.
  • i use all my same products except ive stopped using benzoyl peroxide for acne. just to be om the safe side.
