FYI... In case this can help anyone else

I don't generally start threads simply because everyone else does such a good job of covering the bases. The one thing that has been a serious struggle for me with pregnancy though, is that in spite of gaining no weight so far and always having had pretty much the same bra size since 18 regardless of weight fluctuations, I have added five cup sizes since getting pregnant. I went from a 34D-36C to apparently a 34I-36H. As I've never been in that range, I really struggled to find bras that fit and have been in constant, sometimes excruciating pain. None of the maternity stores seemed to have bras that were big enough in my band size, and the cups seemed to run small even in the bras that were bigger cup sizes.
My mom asked around through her network of friends as I was completely clueless, but nearly in tears and because she is awesome. Someone turned her on to the site BreakoutBras.com. I would definitely recommend it, as first of all, I was able to properly size myself, and second, they offer really lovely extended sizes and although it's a bit of an investment, the prices were way better than I was finding when looking into specialty stores. I just got one of their offerings yesterday, and sweet relief! Right now they are offering 15% off. Just wanted to share in case there were any other ladies FREAKING OUT at how big their boobs were getting and didn't know where to start. They also have nursing bras and info at the end of their sizing page on how and when to size and buy them. Plus they're pretty. I know it sounds vain, but I've always taken great pride in my girls even if I don't really show them off a lot, so this has been a little traumatizing to my ego. :/

  • Also, Breakout Bras sells some styles on Amazon! I was a 34DD pre-pregnancy and I'm currently about a 34G/H so can relate!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I will definitely be taking a look at this site! Pre pregnancy I was a 34DD, I bought a few 36DDD bras a few weeks ago and they're already too small! My boobs are huge I don't even know what size I am! If I try and wear one of the DDD it cuts into my boobs and I have these huge indents by the end of the day! I have been getting buy with wearing sports bras but I definitely need some real bras. Thanks again!
  • Oh good, I'm glad it's helpful! I know there were a couple of threads that were more like vent sessions, so as I had found a solution, even if it only helped out a couple of ladies I thought it was worth it! The indents were what was getting me too, especially from the under-wire being shoved in to compensate for the extra mass pushing out.
  • Thanks! Lurking from November :). Great timing for me because I am on the hunt for some new bras right now

Great timing! Currently bursting out of my 38H, got resized and im apparantly a 38J now with no signs of being done growing. Im not a fan of ordering online since the postal service in our area sucks majorly, but gosh im in need of something that fits! Thanks so much for sharing, you rock! :)>-

  • @MelMel92 I hate ordering online too. I found the sizing guide to be so helpful though and I read it inside and out before ordering, then there are notes on almost every single bra to let you know not only whether it runs big or small and where, but what shape breasts fit well in it, which I would never even think to ask. It was dead on. Plus apparently their live chat is really helpful as well. My mom had helped my sister to use them as a resource as she was a 29J (so I'm counting my blessings) after babies and that helped her find the best options.
  • Thank you for posting this. I am small enough that finding bras isn't as big of a challenge, but at 25 weeks I've already gone up 2.5 cup sizes and it IS unsettling and bras ARE expensive. Ladies helping ladies is so great.

  • I was a 44H pre-pregnancy, so I'm saving this info for life! Haha. Right now the girls are spilling out of a 44J, I just haven't found anything bigger, so I'm just suffering through it. THANK YOU!
  • Lane Bryant also has a large selection of larger sizes.

  • @Kate08Young , do they have extended cups with smallerish bands? I would LOVE a retail store emergency backup. I was traveling a lot leading up to my order, and I was dying for something but couldn't find any decent looking stores that weren't astronomically expensive. I would love to know when out and about that there is always a backup.
  • I used this web site during my first pregnancy and had great results

I believe so. Just depends on how small of a band you want. I originally had to get a 34 J. They had some, not many. They are also typically having some type of sale/deal. Even without a deal most Bras are 50-75$ which, at least in my area, is pretty decent pricing.
