Trouble TTC

Any Brits on here Navigate the NHS

Dh is scheduled for his SA and we have been trying for 15 months.  Would love any advice from someone who has worked through infertility with the NHS..... thanks!

  • I'm in the UK!
We're about 18months down the line. Husband has had his SA and I've had many blood tests, a HSG and am currently on round 3 of clomid.
Where abouts have you got up to? Or is the SA your first test (I can't remember what ours was!)

  • @goldenkeys thanks for the views!

@smileymcgee I have PCOS so I happened to have an ultrasound about a year ago when I thought I had a cyst (just and ripped some muscle in my abs)... and tried metformin with devilish effects to my poor insides.  I also got my progesterone tested at 21 days and it was low but not completely off the scale.  He comes next then hopefully an appt at the womens hospital within a few months for me.  With a history of cystic ovaries I am not sure what is going on in there so I am going really work on the temping and OPK so see if I can get any sort of a consistent reading!  DH was reluctant to go down this was so soon thinking it was too early until he realized I will be 32 this year and many of his friends are now getting pregnant and its not taking them nearly as long.  Its not nice to compare but it is a swift kick up the ass he needed!

  • I might have accidentally "loved" your comment! Sorry!

I didn't know I had PCOS until my HSG scan. It wasn't that surprising & apparently they were only "very slightly" polycystic- not that that statement was helpful.

I haven't had metformin as I'm not overweight so my GP is unsure as to whether it would actually benefit me (& we won't be accepted at the main hospital for treatment yet as we haven't been trying 2yrs)

I can't work out how to find your blog on this app- it's very confusing! xx
