Ouch

So I work for a school and today was our high school graduation where all of our CEOs and dignitaries were in attendance not to mention 700 guests so naturally I'm expected to dress to the nine. Normally I get away with wearing my flats but today being a special occasion I bit the bullet and wore my 5 inch heels and now my feet hate me. Not to mention I was sitting on stage and when I got up to help distribute diplomas I had a horrible Charlie horse in my calf! Pregnancy and high heels don't mix!

  • I must say. You are more bold than I am!!!!

  • I wear about 2 inch heels in the office most days, maybe try a smaller heel?

  • It's always a good idea in the morning/when I get dressed, but when I step outside of what I know is comfortable (like heels), I always regret it!! I'm sorry it was so rough :(

  • I haven't given up my heels! I have to travel a lot for work, and I'm constantly in and out of hospitals and medical offices. I don't want to lose that little boost that heels give me.

I have compromised though and started bringing ballet flats for the actual drives, and for any running around before appointments. And I only started that because I've started waking up with sore feet.

@jenn2132, if I experience a heels-induced calf cramp, all of that bravado goes out the window, of course. There's nothing attractive or commanding about a woman hobbling around in misery, great shoes or not
