Sudden sharp pains?

Im 10 weeks today, and iv had normal, period like pain the whole pregnancy, which I assume is just a mix of stretching ligaments/morning sickness tummy upset. Maybe I am just being paranoid after my last miscarriage, but suddenly today iv been getting sharp pains (that ate very shorted lived, from seconds to under a minute), about level with the point of my hip, but in a bit. It hasnt been one sided. Im wondering if this is normal ligament pain, or something i should call my dr about. And also, sorry i did try to search this as im sure its been covered, but i couldnt find anything!

I've had that too. It started around 9 weeks I think. I only get it from time to time! I've been just assuming it's round ligament pain. If it comes and goes and isn't constant I think you're okay.

I've had a lot of crazy scary pains as well. Last week I had sharp pains in my right pelvic area around my ovaries. It lasted for 2 days so I did call my doctor even though it was on the weekend. He said it was stretching and not to worry as long as no bleeding. I saw him today and my babies are doing great. You are probably fine but it can't hurt to call if it will put your mind at ease.

I had them at week 10! I went to the er and everything was fine

Thanks guys i think just knowing people have had them and been fine has helped. Still another few weeks before the 12 week scan. I think ill be a lot more relaxed once i get past that point!

It sounds like normal RLP. If it gets worse, or you're really concerned, just give your doctor/nurses line a call.

I've decided that anything "lady" related will have it's share of pains and cramps. This includes, uterus, ovaryish area, boobs.......

I've had this on and off since the beginning. Sometimes when I roll in bed, sometimes when I stand up, it's just Round ligament pain. I've had the lightening crotch a few times too.

I rolled over in bed wrong last night and woke up to this horrifying ligament stretching/stabbing feeling across my lower belly. Happened again the other day when I was trying to stretch. I think these things just happen! Kind of startling though haha

I've also experienced these sharp pains. I'm 9 wks 5 days, called my Dr. Due to previous mc they had me come in for an emergency U.S.. Everything was prefect with baby, but I had the start of a bladder infection. Which I have never had before. Dr. Says they are very common with pregnancy. Maybe get it checked out, could be that. Good luck!

Funny you should say that.. Had an appointment today snd have been put on cephalexin for a UTI!

Oh man. I got what I can only assume was lightning crotch today for the first time! I had heard about it but never got it with my last pregnancy, though I had a ton of RLP. Today it felt like someone tazered my freaking vag. Rouch.

Lightening crotch and RLP all can contribute. I have also found I can get sharp weird pains if I have to poop... ">

I've had the same thing. Turns out it was a cyst on my left ovary which i was told was very common.

I've had the same thing too and was told its normal. My mom (who had 5 kids) says you get all kinds of weird things and pains when pregnant lol this is my first pregnancy and I'm 10 wks 1 day. It happens a lot when I stand up, and sometimes just sitting. It's nice to know there are others experiencing the same things!

I had a feeling I was pregnant before I tested because I went to move a certain way and a stabbing pain made me double over. I sneezed the next day and felt the same thing.

If it doesn't last for long and it's more like s shooting pain, it sounds like round ligament pain. Is it more when you move?

I had it more today then yesterday. Both times was when i was sitting down (i have a desk job, so thats most of the time!). Went to thr drs yesterday, and she said it sounds like RLP. However did get put on antibiotics for a UTI (that I didnt know i had) so perhaps it was the beginning signs of a UTI for me.

I am experience gas pains to the max right now & like upper stomach pains like at the top of were your abs start. Does anyone else have this?

I have shooting pains running on the right side from my belly button to my pelvis. It lasts for a second and then happens again a few minutes later. By doctor said lightening bolt type pains are a common way gas is described.
