NYC commuters?

I have had it with this commute and I have 5 weeks left! Anyone else commute on mass transit? I'm have been feeling ok
except for when I am walking down the city streets and on the trains people are so rude and self absorbed , inconsiderate. Only women have offered seats. Anyone else cranky from commuting?

I live in another big city, and have hated the commute on the subway. Only women have offered me their seats as well, interesting!

  • Crashing from the June '15 group (i lurk here a little cause i'm due so late in the month 6/28). I live in Jersey (originally from LI) and work in Times Square. I totally understand your pain with the commute! People are incredibly rude and absolutely horrendous when it comes to subway/jersey transit or even just getting around penn station. I thankfully began working full time from home at 36 weeks. It's made a world of difference in these last few weeks. I hope the 5 weeks goes fast for you so you get a nice break from the madness of the city soon. And I pray it doesn't get too hot these next few weeks. Hot garbage smell is the worst lol
  • Yes I'm from NY so I know what you mean

Yes! I commute to Manhattan from Staten Island so my commute is an hour and a half to two hours each direction. I honestly am beyond my limit. My hands and feet are so swollen, back throbbing and I get hit in the belly constantly by fellow commuters who aren't paying attention.

My last day in the office will be next Monday (37 weeks) because my obgyn doesn't want me commuting after that. Will be working from home until baby comes. It's only a few more days of work but I literally want to cry thinking about it.
  • I'm in Boston but I hear you!!! So many rude people on the T. Nevermind giving me a seat, let's start by not shoving and pushing me! People are insane.
  • I am glad I'm not alone, although it's really sad that working has to be so stressfull. I'm a literally sandwiched in between two people in a middle seat right now and had to climb over feet to get in. I promise I will always give my end seat up for a pregnant women in the future.
