2nd Trimester

Infrequent movement

do you get nervous when you don't feel baby kicking. I'll feel kicking one day or for a few days and all of a sudden the next day I won't feel anything! Does this happen to any of you? I'm 16 weeks!

Re: Infrequent movement

  • Yes, this is normal. Frequent movement will not happen until 3rd tri. You will start kick counts (if your provider requests them) at 28 weeks. Your baby is small, they are moving a lot but you are not feeling them.
and at 16 weeks, very few mom's can feel it any way. Some mom's do not feel baby move until 18 or 20 weeks, some times more if they have an anterior placenta.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • I'm definitely feeling infrequent movements at 15 weeks 3 days and even felt some movement from the outside this morning. I don't get stressed about not feeling the little one every day. I think that each movement is another sign that everything is going well. I am feeling movement much sooner than during my first pregnancy.
  • Most women aren't even feeling kicks yet, so it's definitely normal to only feel them sometimes. You're lucky you're feeling anything at all!
