This will be my 4th C-Section. I'd say #3 took longer to recover just because I had little ones to take care of. I couldn't really stop and heal the way I needed to. This time we will have childcare come help with the other 3 for half a day for the first week or 2 home. I don't have family close enough to help.
I'd say try to do anything you can to minimize your workload for the first few weeks. Have friends or family come help during the day, do freezer meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be kind to yourself. Laundry may have to wait, the kids may eat PB and J every day for a week, etc. It's ok. I wish I would have cut myself more slack. This year we also have DS1 and DS2 is 1/2 day preschool a few days a week.
Sorry, you really didn't ask for advice. I just know that my recovery did not have to be as hard as it was. However, I will say that due to the additional scar tissue that had to be removed, I think it would have been a little more difficult either way.
C-section for #3 end of January 2016. Will definitely need my husbands help this time-after #2 he went right back to work and I was overwhelmed. 2 hurt a lot more than 1 but recovery was about the same. I expect the same especially since this kid kicks and moves more than 1 & 2 combined!
It will be my third CS come february so no advice yet but when it happens i'll have a newborn and our DS will be 15 months so that's what worries and scares me the mostv
I will also be having my third c-section at the end of January and am looking forward to the fact that my husband will actually be taking a few weeks off to help! Best of luck to all, ladies!! We've got this
I'll be having my 3rd csection in February. Recovery with my first was so easy, then of course my second was a little harder because I had a toddler to keep up with as well. This time, my oldest is in school and my second self-entertains really well, so I'm hopeful for an easy recovery. Plus thus time we live within minutes of my parents, two sisters, and have a large support group within our church so I will have a lot more help with my older kids if I should need it. My husband is self employed so he will also be around more (our first two kids were born during law school so when he wasn't in class, he was at the library!).
This will also be my 3rd c section... I am hoping for a quick recovery like my second one was but idk.. My oldest is in full day every day kindergarten so it will be me home with a 3 yr old and a newborn... My will be 3 yr old is VERY attached to me.. That's the only this I worry about
Re: 3rd time c-section Mamas out there?
