Active baby!

FTM

I'm 36 weeks pregnant, there's times the baby moves so much I have to catch my breath! I'm very petite, I feel like he doesn't have as much room now since he's probably growing so I get to feel his movements pretty good, I can also see from the outside a foot/a knee or something poking out my skin. Anyone else experience this too?

Re: Active baby!

  • My SIL could see our nephews foot print before 36 weeks and my husband would say how it would go out quite a bit haha I am 36 1/2 weeks and I haven't had this experience but my baby is also small. I would take it as a good sign that your baby is active and healthy :) as for the shortness of breath...yes! I get this all the time. I have asthma and my asthma has gotten worst throughout this pregnancy. I start to get asthma and have a shortness of breath just sitting in bed! I suggest a lot of water, elevation and BREATHING EXERCISES :) it has saved my life many times, and it is very relaxing to do.

My baby is extreamly active as well, I am 35 weeks. Sometimes the kicks and movements are slightly painful.
  • My little boy has been crazy this entire pregnancy. I went for an elective ultrasound and the tech instantly knew I could feel him a lot because he said my placenta is set behind so I felt him very early and every movement. It def. hurts at times, but I am going to miss it when it is gone for sure. I love being able to feel him so well it is very reassuring. I never have to do kick counts that is for sure.

Yep. My daughter moves constantly! You can watch my belly move from across the room. It's crazy! It looks like she's trying to just bust her way out sometimes!
  • Oh goodness can I relate. This little one is crazy. She moves a lot all day long but especially once I get in bed. At night the movements are so much more painful to the point that I jump while sleeping. I have had trouble breathing because I feel like she takes up so much room. I get winded just reading books to my son before bed.
  • My little man has been like a whirling dervish up in here

Me too!! I have been feeling consistent movement, throughout the day since week 19!! I even asked my doc if I should be concerned about too much movement... She laughed, said "no" & told me to consider myself lucky
  • yes i do all the time today he kept moving all the way from 7 to 12 and the thing is i was active so its not like i was sitting relaxing its awesome but his knee is all the way up towards my boobs it feels uncomfortable by my ribs and he likes putting his foot by his head which is a pain on my bladder sometimes knowing where everything is makes me more impatient to have him here but like you im 35.5 weeks my due date is the 16th but he seems pretty big as it is. this was at 35.2
