Legs falling asleep while standing...

Anyone else having this problem? Every time I stand for more than a few minutes, even if I'm walking around, my legs (especially the right one) will fall asleep or get super numb. I told the fill-in ob (mine is on vacation) about it and he brushed me off completely and didn't really give me an explanation. Just curious if anyone is having the same experience or has any suggestions so I can stay vertical!

It could possibly be a sciatica symptom. I'd call and bring it up with the OB again. You may also want to try a chiropractor who is certified in Webster technique (for pregnant women) if things have shifted and you are pinching a nerve an adjustment may do wonders. Good luck I hope you feel better ASAP.

I had it with my last pregnancy and it was sciatica. Hostelry I didn't do much for it but tried to rest it often and sometimes out a warm rice bag on my lower right back where the feeling started. It's starting again this time and unfortunately probably won't heal until after baby is born. Call your OB and try to get an answer from them!

Thanks ladies, that's what I suspected and I've been doing heat and ice to try and relieve some pain so hopefully it lets up!

I agree- find a chiro. They will help a lot. I saw one all last pregnancy and will start going
Everything gets thrown off when your uterus starts growing. Something is pros my pushing on your sciatic nerve. It can get very painful. I had trouble walking last time until I started going to the chiro.
