Haven't had any nausea (5wks 3 days) until today. And it came with the desperate hunger too. This is not fun. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come.
September Siggy Challenge - Favorite Thing About Fall:
I've actually cried during a previous pregnancy because I was so hungry but was also so nauseous that I couldn't make myself eat more than a few bites of anything. I've learned that regular small meals are really important. The more hungry I get, the more nauseous I get and it becomes a vicious cycle.
Yes!! When I wake up I have a hard time even telling the difference. It feels like my stomach is eating itself from hunger and that's causing nausea? It's confusing! Right there with ya though!
Same here! I am really hungry but when I go to eat I immediately feel full and nauseous. I usually am a small meals throughout the day person but since nothing is appetizing I'm struggling with that too. Literally only one thing at a time sounds edible to me so that's how I make my choice.
This is a daily struggle. I can feel myself losing weight. I have been trying to very lightly snack so that I don't get too hungry because that's when it gets REAL lol. If I get really hungry, then I eat in reaction to it, I will overeat and then be nauseous and full and miserable.
During my last pregnancy, as long as I kept something in my tummy I was ok. This time, even if I get something down I still feel horrible. It never ends!
First pregnancy was prefect! Second was horrible sick the whole time. This one ughhhh its just enough of both except for everything sounds gross to me. The struggle is real.
My dietician says not to get too hungry or too full. I'm supposed to eat 1 1/2 C of food every 2-3 hours whether I'm hungry or not. So far it's been working. I get queasy but not too sick yet. Only 5 weeks, 4 days so we shall see!
What types of food are yall eating to help with nausea? I'm glad to hear others are similar. It's so frustrating to constantly be hungry/nauseous at the same time. I am having no idea what to eat. I feel bad for my hubs bc I have no desire to cook!
Yes. This is my life these past 2 weeks and counting. With DD, I went straight to actual sickness and then I was fine for the rest of the day. The never-ending, all-day nausea seems worse. I wake up feeling crummy, go through the day feeling crummy, go to bed feeling crummy. Plus back has been hurting, I believe mainly due to constipation. Boobs ACHE. No wonder I'm moody.
I'm with you. I'll feel better for a little bit and then it returns. Just a steady hum of nausea. I'd rather get sick once and be done with it than fight it off all day and night.
I feel as though I am holding back my nausea throughout the day. Like it is sitting right there in my throat ready to project itself on whom or whatever is nearest me. This is awful. I have two children, but they are 15 and 12...I don't remember what I did last night, let alone how I felt during both those pregnancies. After that many years it's all just a blur. Glad to know others are struggling with me, not that I wish this on anyone! :-S
This is baby #3 for me and I must say this is a very different pregnancy from the others. I wake up starving but also super nauseous, once I eat the nausea becomes even stronger if I ate something I wasn't really craving.... What gives? I haven't had too much vomiting but the yucky nausea lingers all day long. I have also found out things that I used to love to eat on a regular basis are not so good for me any more. Like eggs, yogurt, sour cream, etc... Is this baby already showing signs of being spoiled? I'm so ready for this first trimester to end! Do you agree with me ladies?
Yes!!! I wake up starving and nauseous at the same time, but my body doesnt want to eat anything! I find eating a handful of almonds is working well for me!
Peanut butter & crackers and a stash of granola bar (or the equivalent thereof) have been my friend... I've heard that having some little bits of protein with crackers helps with the nausea - we'll see what happens!

I've been feeling really hungry without actually having the desire to eat if that makes sense. I've been feeling put off by eggs (my normal breakfast) and meat, and just a little queasy in general. I've been eating a lot of fruit and PBJ.
This. All of this. Not to mention DH has to check with me like 1 hour before dinner to make sure that what sounded good in the morning still sounds good now.
I have left the gray area of preferences: "ummm, I guess that sounds good!" "Sure, why not?" "I guess I could eat that"
and am now in full on black or white mode with my food:
"YES! GIVE ME THAT NOW." "I HAVE to have this" "I NEED this. NEED"
OR "Get that the efff out of my face" "Ew don't even say the word Egg to me or I will puke" "I'm never eating that again" "How did I ever eat this? It's repulsive!"
Today I literally are a bowl of white rice. I find I feel better once I've eaten but nothing ever sounds good. The positive I'm not eating a lot if sweets, the negatives...I'm still struggling with the vegetables.
I actually had a decent day today. Hardly any nausea or gross feelings. I got these preggie pop drops and they seem to help. Also got the sea bands but haven't tried them yet. I managed to keep all 3 meals down and felt great throughout the day just with the preggie drops. Hope this helps
Ive been eating a bowl of special k protein cereal with almond milk before i get going in the morning and its really been helpful. Im hoping it keeps working.. i try to make sure im eating all day too. Not more, just spread out more. Im also all about trisquits the last few days. They have been helping settle my tummy and are yummy too.

Oh! Are those seabands?! I love them. They help me too!
At least we know these symptoms are normal, but seriously?!? This is worse than my first pregnancy. And whenever I get what I'm craving it does nothing but make me feel more ill.
