Weird cravings!

This far I hadn't had any weird cravings... Until today, I've been dying for a Michalob Ultra with a slice of... Pickle. Yes. A pickle in my beer.... Obviously not going to go grab a beer, but my husband did buy me a gallon of pickles. What weird cravings have y'all had?

Edit: I should add that craving a beer is extremely odd for me. I really have never been interested in drinking. So to be like, "Hey a beer sounds good right about now!" Is very odd for me

  • No weird cravings for me yet! I've just been super thirsty, and have increased my water intake a lot. I always joke with DH that I'll start craving alcohol ( i have the taste of alcohol and don't drink)

  • I wish I would crave water. It doesn't taste good more and I have to practically force it down my throat.

  • I'm not a sweets person at all....I'm all about the SALT! And I will crave the occasional chocolate/peanut butter type snack...I even drink my tea unsweetened for goodness sake

    But right now all I want is pure sugar...like a giant slurpee and a bag full of skittles....gummy bears...that sort of thing. Not pastries or cake or chocolate.....SUGAR.

    Obviously I have not gone out and bought a huge slurpee or gone nuts....but I have had some skittles and I went ahead and bought fruit snack gummies as a lesser evil to satisfy to cravings.
  • I started craving corn on the cob, which isn't particularly weird except for the fact that I'm allergic. :-P
  • Nothing unusual this time, but with DS I would occasionally crave milk, and I hate milk. A couple of times I poured myself a glass, but it was just as gross as it's always been. For some reason it always sounded good, even though it never tasted good.

  • Normally I'm not a big meat eater - I'm not vegetarian, just prefer small portions of meat with large portions of veg or grain - but lately all I've wanted is meat, meat, and more meat! It doesn't matter what kind. Steak, chicken, hamburger, fish - even meats I'm not supposed to have like salami, hotdogs, and sushi all sound delicious. We've been having a lot more red meat around here and my hubs loves it. He thinks it's hilarious because usually he makes fun of my eating habits (he's a big meat and potatoes kind of guy) and he always says I eat like a rabbit.

    My mom said her main craving with me was whole milk! Something about the texture had her hooked.
  • It's anything sweet for me...which is odd.  I'm not a fan of donuts but I've been craving donuts from a local shop for days now.  Also, fruit!  I'm usually a veggie person way more than fruit but I have thrown away so many veggies in the past few weeks but can't get enough grapes, pineapple and watermelon!  I just bought plums and granny smith apples at the store this morning! 

    To be fair, most food is making me gag just thinking about it though I'm pretty sure if it sounds good I should eat it!

    I've craved Mountain Dew. But that's not particularly weird for me. I don't drink it a lot when I'm not pregnant, but it's the only soda I ever wanted when I was pregnant with DS #1 as well. I hate all brown sodas when I'm pregnant, and morning sickness ruined sprite/7up/ginger ale for me last time around, boo.

    I've also been wanting milk A LOT. and I hate milk usually, like only eat it with cereal.


    Other than that, they're not weird. Pineapple, fries, etc.


    I also wish I could crave water. I'm forcing it down during the day, but it literally makes me want to gag. Any kind of juice makes me want to puke right away though, so that stinks as well.

  • All I want is pizza. Lots and lots of pizza. I have even had dreams about it. Just strange.
  • Nothing whatsoever sounds good to me.  I have to force myself to eat every meal and even then, I barely eat but a couple bites.  The only thing I have craved yet was a grape slushie from Sonic.

  • Fruit, fresh lemonade, pasta! I've always enjoyed these, but now I want them more intensely. I'm having aversions to most meat, though.
  • I have these weird cravings where I want things so intensely but then when I have them the thought of eating whatever it is makes me so sick. My so is tired of buying things for me that I don't eat!
  • Carbs, frozen berries (fresh make me feel sick oddly), lemons, potato chips (weird as I'm usually a sweet tooth person and chips have never been my thing), mashed potatoes, pickles, olives, grilled cheese, just sour and salty stuff!

  • @MrsReese28 I am with you on the pizza. I would eat it every day if I could. My sister was the same way when she was pregnant. 
  • Seafood, I can't get enough. Even imitation crab! I hate the stuff, but apparently baby doesn't.

  • I recently bought some Fiber One gummies, and now all I want to eat are gummy bears.
  • @BabyRut2015 I am just the opposite! Before I got pregnant, I'd always have several packages of dum dum suckers by me. Or some kind of candy. Now? No way. The only sweet stuff I can stand is fresh fruit, other than that I crave salt!! Crackers, crackers, and more crackers. Everything gets a little more salt than they normally do. Oh! And fries. Arby's fries. My dear husband....lol I used to be able to eat steak almost every night....hubby was loving it....and salads. I loved mazzios salads. But now that I'm pregnant, those are definite no go's. :( so weird that everything you ate before is hard to eat now...
  • Old Dutch brand cheddar and sour cream chips. I've been thinking about it since last week. I need to get a bag this week!! Ice cream too.
  • I crave sour cream with everything. Sour cream and pickles (Hate the cliche, but a girl wants what a girl wants) and sour cream with spaghetti (not spaghetti with sour cream). Also, give me all the cheese and bread.
  • @Heron422 same! I constantly want seafood. (Mainly shrimp and imitation crab). At Mexican I want shrimp fajitas and at Mongolian I want crab.
  • I always used to crave greasy food and tacos, and now l I want is fruit, bread and butter, pizza, cheese and crackers and pasta with butter Hahahha I don't get it
  • I want pumpkin cheesecake more than anything in the whole world right now. That's really the only craving I have really had. Everything else seems completely unappetizing.

  • I am loving spicy guacamole! Avocado, lemon, lime, tomato, cilantro, onion, salt and (a lot) of red hot. This is my go to recipe!
  • Today I licked a mixture of blue cheese dressing and buffalo sauce off of carrots and baby tomatoes, and snacked on some sour skittles and starburst while I was at it.
  • All I want is seafood and EVERYTHING from the antipasto bar. Everything.

    Im 8 weeks pregnant today and I was craving cheeseburgers and hot dogs and chicken the last few weeks..now I want fruit and pasta and potatos... oh and cheese is definitely up there... was craving pickles and candy too but to be honest it really changes day to day for me. lol...

  • I cant seem to get enough of cheese, anything salty and bread or crackers....occasionally sour stuff...pizza is deff up there
  • Usually im a salad, vegetable, pasta person. I normally don't like meat. Oh I also always have to have chips- salty chips. Since I've been pregnant, all I want is meat! I also don't care for chips which my DH is shocked about. Mac and cheese is also good.

    Other than that I've been frustrated because nothing really sounds good to me. Sweets definitely does not sound good to me so I've been avoiding it.

    Fruits and crackers help me with nausea but that's it.

    I'm up at 4 am sick to my stomach trying not to barf by munching on my saltine (unsalted)crackers. Salt just doesn't sound good to me either.

    I think I'm going to have to end this to vomit.
  • My super unhealthy craving is hot Cheetos with pickles!! Also nachos with jalapeños !!
  • Since the day before I found out I was pregnant I've wanted a chili cheese dog. I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity, though.

    I've wanted sour cream. I want cucumbers in vinegar. Pop tarts - I won't buy another box though. I think I satisfied my craving and I normally stay away from those. In the beginning, I wanted sweet. Now it's just random. Whatever sounds good when I need to eat. Strawberries have been delicious. Maybe, I'll convince my SO that blueberry pancakes need to happen this weekend. :)
  • I'm not normally a Chocolate person but I am craving chocolate cake and sriracha sauce like at the same time.... My SO thinks I'm crazy....I haven't tried it yet but maybe today!!!
  • Really unhealthy things. And I've been indulging:
    Cheetos
    Velveta Mac n cheese
    Toaster strudels
    French fries
    Arby's beef and cheddar
    Brownies with icing

    That's about it so far.

  • Before getting pregnant, when I drank milk I got sick like I thought I was lactose intolerant. Now that Im pregnant, I want cheese and lots of milkshakes. Grilled cheese!! But it soothes my stomach
