Squeaky bouncer fix?

I was recently given a bouncer... it is a hand-me-down, but I believe it was purchased within the last year and in excellent condition...... except it makes a very annoying squeaky noise when it bounces.  It sounds kind of like it needs to be oiled.... but of course I am not about to put WD-40 on something the baby will be laying in.... Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Why would you not use WD-40? The squeak is likely coming from the springs, which the baby should not be able to touch.

    Do you think it would be okay?  It seemed odd to me to spray it so close to where the baby lays their head, but the more I think about it, maybe I am just being a crazy first time mom ;)
