Tummy problems, when do they end?!

seriously i need STMs to give me some hope!

My 1 month old would have 1 or 2 good days a week when she's fine but most of the time she has either gas problems, constipation or worst of all both!

I tried regulating her feedings and i burp her for TWENTY minutes after each feed and no help! My diet is very consistant i was earing the exact same thing for a week but her reaction would not be consistant.

I started using gas drops, they work but she keeps needing more and my doctor said that if i overused it eventually she'll get used to it and it wont work anymore.

I need some help! Or consulation! Will this go away as she gets older? I'm tired of seeing my baby screaminf of pain

  • She's probably just colicky and you may have to wait it out. Sorry I don't have another suggestion....good luck your doing great

  • I use Gripe Water when my LO has gas. They seem to help and it's all natural. Don't think it will help for constipation though...good luck
  • Babies who are worn in a carrier cry 45% less I read somewhere. We are going through the same thing- trying gas drops & gripe water. We just started carrying in a carrier & it had helped him cry less & maintain our sanity. I hope it gets better
  • Being upright it a carrier or wrap also helps move gas as well. I throw my LO in a wrap when she's gassy and she usually starts farting within minutes and then falls asleep. If you use a wrap you can easily put them down in bed after that. It's a miracle!
  • Gerber soothe drops might work.

  • Colic calm, has helped us, it is black and will stain if it gets on anything. Otherwise carrier has helped but he hates being in it if he is wide awake
  • What carrier did you use that helped the gas?
  • We got the beco & like it. He burps, passes gas, & pops while n it.
