TTC After a Loss

My Intro 6/11

Hi, I'm Meg and I'm new here. We found out about our MC at week 7 but everything stopped more around week 5. My D&C was last Friday and the doctor said things are healing perfectly - almost as if nothing had happened. I'm glad the physical side for me is pretty much over, but the emotional side of things is driving me crazy! All of last week leading up to the D&C I was a complete mess and could barely hold it together for my conference calls. This week it's been more like a roller coaster - sad/depressed all day on Monday, then positive/happy on Wednesday. I'm assuming this roller coaster ride is normal - some good days and some bad ones.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself... Also the topics/posts on this board have helped answer a lot of questions for me! Thank you all :)

  • So sorry for your loss
  • I'm sorry for your loss, and the roller coaster is perfectly normal at this point.  I find that the further out I get I have more up days than down days.

  • Oh honey I'm sorry.  You're acting totally normal.  I'm 4 months out from my MC and my emotions are still screwy.  I can promise you that the good times start to go longer.  Sometimes I'll have a really good couple of weeks where I barely think about it, and am at peace with it, then there will be something that sets off another meltdown.  And don't be surprised if the tears sneak up on you....it's normal.
  • @Kristin83 thanks for the response! Glad to know the tears that came out of no where yesterday was a very normal reaction. Planning to keep a small pack of tissues with me at all times for those unexpected sad moments. Sorry for your loss as well and thanks again for the response.
