Calling All Those Who Are New to the Bump!

Hello we would like to welcome you to the bump :-h .

In light of all the recent posts, and many regulars getting banned, and our newbie thread being closed I would like to let you know our goals and helpful hints on navigating the bump.

A. First off our goal here at ttgp. We would like you to get knocked up as quickly as physically possible! There are many here who have struggled to get Ku and no one here would wish those difficulties on anyone. We give you advice to help you have the best chance possible to conceive. Women here recommend

1. Read Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler. (Its life changing)

2. Sign up for Fertility Friend and do the tutorials.

3. Buy a Basal Body Thermometer aka a BBT and being charting.

B. There is a white search bar on both mobile and desktop bump sites. Please use it. It answers common questions and keeps the boards cleaned up. For example women who need support, information, and humor get buried underneath thousands of "do you think I'm pregnant" threads.

C. Do not click the report button especially if say, you've been here less than a week or two. By clicking this button you physically kick women out who participate in this community every day. These women can aide you in getting pregnant. They can teach you valuable information if you take the time to learn.

We hope your stay in ttgp is short and if you've found this thread CONGRATS! You have learned the number one rule of lurk and then lurk some more.

Regulars sorry for the repeat of info from the newbie thread but I think after today it needs to be brought up...

Also, by giving you real and honest answers is not rude or mean. We LOVES science here. Our hearts beats faster when we have statics and facts. We will not lie and tell you what you 'want' to hear (read). We rather be honest now, then for you to be let down and hurt later.

If a post seems very blunt, it's for your own good. Telling people they're totes pregnant helps exactly no one. Lurk, put on your big girl panties and learn.

Not to sound all butt-kissy, but seriously, I have learned more here in the last 2 weeks or so from the ladies on this board that I did at my TTC OB appointment. Heed their advice girlfriends. They know their stuff.

As a old or return newbie... I just want to say thanks for this post and thank to the ladies on here! I get it now! I get the frustrations. With some of the posts(i have been a offender before) i can sympathize with some but others.....yikes!  But seriously thanks ladies.. you all rock!

Hi!  Newbie here, excited to be a part of the community.

I'm a 29 yr old who has been married for 2 years, with my man for 14 years, and we are TTC, we started in June.

It's my understanding there is a warning system, @Carazona5, but I'm not sure how or why the BGs decide on insta-bannenation.

Generally, the BGs get touchy if posters discuss the methods of moderating in the open forum. They are wary of revolution like back in January.

The walls have ears etc. :-S

Thanks for the info! I'v been doing lots of lurking, made my introduction and have began trying to get to know everyone. This has been the most straight forward, informative post I have found for newbies. Glad it got bumped because I missed it the first time around for some reason.

@cattlebride thank you for this post! The one question I do have for you regulars, that I haven't been able to find, is when you make an edit to a post for things like spelling, are you supposed to say why? Thanks!

Most do because you can see when people edit. I'm personally terrible about including why. I only do probably 50% of the the time. I need to be better about it.
