During this pregnancy I have been eating bad, and not watching my weight but now I am getting a little upset that I am gaining weight..
With my first son I gained a lot because I ate bad, with my second son I was the same weight after I had him that I was before I had him! I took care of myself, exercised, ate healthy..
Since then though I moved in with my In laws, and lets say everyone here eats BAD.. so when it comes to eating healthy I have NO support at all. My husband doesn't eat veggies at all, they live on bad junk food, which I used to HATE, and they eat nothing but fried foods. Every time I even try to eat healthy it ends up going in the trash or going bad. I feel like its a waste of money so I have given up on eating good.

I absolutely hate it because I feel like I'm not the same person anymore. I feel terrible for gaining so much weight and eating so bad. I went from drinking nothing but water, to drinking milk and soda. Okay well anyways call me crazy I don't care, I just was wondering if it would be okay to diet a little or lose a bit of weight while pregnant? (in a healthy way)
I am getting sick of these eating habits, I want to do something to change it. Does anyone have any ideas?

I ate like crap before I got pregnant. When I found out baby was coming I changed my habits. I used to skip breakfast pretty much every day, now I never skip meals. I drink a ton more water. I don't go grab fast food on my lunch break any more. To do the last one I had to stop going to lunch with my co-workers, I love them but they usually end up at McDonald's or KFC for lunch and I had to cut the temptations. I ended up losing weight between when I got pregnant and my 28 week appointment (which I was not expecting). The numbers on the scale didn't start going up until my 32 week appointment.
Now, I am not saying you should actively try to lose weight. That would not be safe or healthy. Don't start any new exercise routines or diet just for the sake of losing weight. However there is nothing wrong with eating healthier and making smarter, more nutritious choices for yourself and your baby. If you happen to lose weight, awesome. If not you are setting some great groundwork for after baby is here.
Good luck!!
Portion size has also helped. A handful of M&Ms when I want chocolate instead of getting out a bowl. An egg on toast instead of letting DH "dirty it up " (bacon & cheese).
And also forcing myself to get in some exercise a few times a week. I gave it up when morning sickness kicked in, but after my last dr appt, i knew i had to put it back on the "To do" list.
DH doesn't understand, so it can be hard, but eventually he learned this is just how I want things. This is for you, not them!
