Anatomy Scan Surprise

We had our anatomy scan today and were excited to find out the sex, except that was overshadowed by the fact that we found out we are having twins. Twenty weeks into the pregnancy!!!! Both are girls and measuring well, though we had to reschedule the rest since twins take more time. Definitely in shock tonight!

Congratulations, what an awesome surprise! I have twin boys that are almost 2 1/2 they are so much fun! I don't know if you're into blogs but there is a blog that's called twin talk blog. It is a great resource from birth stories to product reviews. I found it when I was pregnant with my boys.

I knew my dates going in and never had any scares or complications so this was the first ultrasound. I had my monthly appt. today, the last time I went five weeks ago I was 15 weeks and not showing much. Plus I was DOWN six pounds at that point, so I guess nobody (including me) thought to look for a second heartbeat. Apparently even at 20 weeks it can be hard to tell if it is two heartbeats. Quite the surprise, we are still processing it all! We went in hoping for one boy and came out with two girls...it'll be an adventure :-)
