Secondary IF

Mock Transfer Fail

We are in the process of preparing for a FET in August.  I went in for my USI today only to discover that my uterus is not where it usually should be (probably via the C-Section) and the RE could not get the catheter pass the cervix.  I am not scheduled for a hysterscope in July.  Anyone else have a similar issue?

Re: Mock Transfer Fail

  • Me. Way too many times now. I went in for an HSG last summer and the Doc couldn't get in at all. So they sent me to another facility to attempt the HSG under sedation. No go. So they decided I needed surgery to go in from both ends (scope from belly & catheter from below). It went fine, they got in, but couldn't get far enough.

Did a mock transfer a month after the surgery, no go. They couldn't get past my cervix and could only see scar tissue. Sent me to a new surgeon for a hysteroscopy w/ D&C. Went in January and had what we thought were great results only to find out in another mock transfer 3 months later, there is still scar tissue. So I am scheduled for my last hysteroscopy on Friday. If they discover that the scar tissue is regenerating, my TTC journey is over - BUT I am a special snowflake.

My surgeon legitimately wrote a text book on hysteroscopies and was a pioneer in the surgery. He said the odds of becoming pregnant after a successful hysteroscopy are pretty good. He was able to show me pictures from inside of the white scar tissue before the surgery and the nice pink tissue after. I hope you have great results from it.

Are you still having a period?
