Lactation after d&c

4 days post d&c and I woke up with my boobs leaking. I cannot believe this is happening, what a cruel reminder. I was only 11 weeks when I discovered baby stopped grpund around 8 weeks so I'm really surprised my milk is coming in! Wearing a tight bra hoping it just goes away. Anyone else experience this? How long did it take to resolve? Thanks ladies.

Experiencing this right now, I had a d&c almost two weeks ago, found out baby had died at 10 1/2 weeks at my 12 week ultrasound, woke up a couple days ago to my pj top covered, and am also wearing a tight high support sports bra hoping it goes away, soon! I agree it's such a cruel reminder, I will always cherish the time I had with my baby but am desperate for my body to get back to normal

Wearing a tight bra is a bad idea. It could cause an infection by clogging a milk duct. A correct fitting non wired sports bra is enough. Avoid stimulation like the hot water in the shower and massage. Any stimulation will incourage production. Also peppermint reduces milk production. So some nice peppermint tea will help relax you too.

Thanks for the advice, midwife suggested a tight bra but doctor said no to it, conflicting advice!
