Very uncomfortable symptoms...need some advice please!

This is my first time posting here (i have read through a lot of posts though) and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if what im going through is normal or i should be worried (i am a first timer so i have no clue).

I was feeling fine the start of the day, im 37 weeks so def. have to pee more then normal but not long after lunch i started to feel like i had to pee like all the time and when i say all the time i mean like i have that "urge" all...the...time! I feel like i just need to sit on the toilet and not move, but when i go in there to pee, even though i feel like im about to pee my pants, i pee out probably less then a tbsp.
Also when the feeling like i need to pee all the time started my lower back started KILLING me! I took some Tylenol and that didnt really do anything and neither has the heating pad.
I have been having BH contractions for weeks now and they are not painful and it doesnt seem like those have changed any so i assume im not in labor (seeing as those are supposed to be pretty painful from what ive been told lol).

I have an appointment tomorrow with my OB, is this something that i should be super worried about? Like call the doctor?

  • Could be baby but this happened to me when I had kidney stones!! Some times they can be caused by pregnancy I had to have surgery after I was pregnant

  • I second the UTI/kidney stones but the only way to know for sure is to call the doctor.
  • I would call doc- I thought I had a uti and back pain was one of the things they warned me to watch for and call about- you don't want to mess around with an infection while pregnant

  • Sounds exactly like me. I wouldn't worry yourself. Just mention it at your dr appt. tomorrow. I had nothing wrong just a week or two like that around the same time. I'm 39+6 now and fine. Good luck! :)
  • I had a UTI in early pregnancy and much of what you're saying was applicable to me too. So it could be either a bladder infection, or if it's really progressed could be a kidney infection. So definitely ask your doctor to check for those
  • Drinking cranberry juice should help.

    Thanks for the advice ladies.
I called my doc and he said to drink a lot of water and cranberry juice and if I could hold out till tomorrow then he would check everything but if I started to feel worse go to the hospital.
I've been drinking so much water I feel like I'm drowning and cranberry juice and I am feeling a little better...the peeing isn't as bad as it was and the back pain has gone down (but still there).
  • H20 and Azo, just like the commercial says. utI's are the worst. So sorry you are suffering. Feel better.
