Experience with Blighted ovum?

Just had my 12 week check up and was diagnosed with blighted ovum. My dr is diing some blood work all week and from there we will decide if i will do a D&C or take meds. I have not been cramping, sptting, or bleeding. My bf and I are devastated but we will try again in about 6 months. Anyone have experience with this?

I didn't see a Dr until 14 weeks and was diagnosed with a BO. I had no spotting the entire pregnancy and my sac was still full of fluids and placenta still growing. So, no signs of natural miscarriage at all! Because it was so late we did the D&C to avoid landing in hospital anyway. That far along would be too much bleeding. I'm glad I did the surgery. It was over as quick as it began, and then bled/clotted for about 2 weeks. It's been 4 weeks past the D&C and now just waiting to start my cycle again.

I have had one blighted ovum and possibly about to have another. I will know for sure on Friday. The first time I did have some bleeding, but no cramps. I ended up taking the medication. I think I will do it again this time too. My dr said that I would have strong period cramps, so since I thought they would feel like period cramps I didn't take the pain meds she prescribed. Big mistake. I was in so much pain. The next night I took pain meds an hour or two before and felt nothing.

Sorry for your loss. I am currently going through post miscarriage with a blighted ovum. It's been hard but I am slowly recovering.
