Intro..so nervous, could this be happening again? :s

Hi ladies, I had a mc last October, which has been so traumatic as you know..I am currently 5w 2d and I've been experiencing a little bit of spotting (mostly brown) and lower back cramps and upper and lower abdominal cramps as well. I went to get an u/s this morning and the tech said they could see what looks like the beginning of a sac, but I didn't really see much.. could the dates be off? 

How much can you really see at a 5 w ultrasound? My levels were 477 last Wednesday and they did bloodwork again today. I am so terrified. What worries me the most is that I had lots of symptoms a few days ago and as of about 2-3 days ago I feel normal.. starting to feel like I felt back in October, I hope I am wrong, this is so scary..I want this baby so bad...could symptoms come and go?

Hi! Sorry you are having to go through this. Yes 5 weeks is very early to see anything besides the sac and yes symptoms can come and go. I had an early MC earlier this year and this pregnancy (immediately following) I had spotting/cramping as well and was so scared. Im sorry to say you may not know more until the blood results come back. Praying for you and hoping things work out okay for you!

My doctor told me that if they don't usually see anything before 6 weeks. That hcg sounds good and high to me, though! Thinking of you.

Just wanted to give you a little update and see if you have advice or comments...I got a call from Dr's offc saying the levels were good 3697 (at 5 w 2d) and that I should just come in for my first appointment that I already have scheduled for 6-26 when I will be 8 weeks. I felt so relieved..

A couple of minutes later she called me again with a different tone of voice saying that she had spoken to the Dr and that he wants me to come in again on Monday for a repeat ultrasound as they didn't really see anything in the one performed yesterday. I am so confused! To make matters worse I have really bad cramping and just went to the bathroom and I am spotting and there were a couple of brown clots as well.. (sorry TMI).. I am terrified!

The new sono may be to make sure an embryo is developing, you should be just over 6 weeks so they should be able to see a tiny something in there (but don't freak if they don't - sometimes that happens)
With the spotting - are you sure there was tissue or did it look like stringy mucus? If your sure it was tissue I would suggest getting checked out asap. If its just spotting and mucus I would say call your dr in the morning and let them know whats going on.

Mm I am not really sure if I would consider it stringy mucus or tissue.. The Dr. Already knows about the spotting and clots but he says that if it's brown it's probably nothing bad, but what worries me is that apart from that I have cramps and lower back pain (which I felt with my MC back in October) and I feel like my symptoms went away..I am so scared, all I can do is wait until Monday I guess..
