I dreamed of blue hippos dancing around a crib the night before my first child's anatomy scan. I was convinced it meant I was having a boy.
I love my daughter very much and realized that sometimes a dream is just a product of eating weird food combinations, anxiety, and an overactive REM cycle.
It was not true the first time. We will see this time. I've dreamt boy both times. I have a 3 year old daughter. We won't know for another month what this one is.
I've had dreams about having either sex - probably 4-5 dreams of each. I also tend picture baby as one sex or the other when I think about him/her. Changes day-to-day. I would be interested in seeing a peer-reviewed scientific study on this.

Dreams are just little burps in our subconscious as our neurons make and adjust connections. They can't predict something that you don't have any knowledge of yet.
I dreamt we have a boy and girl in there. We already know at least 1 is a boy (b/c of the cell free DNA test), and hopefully we'll find out on the 23rd what the other one is. Of course, we are primarily concerned that the a/s shows two healthy little babies - the sex determination is just a plus.

My ob told me that in her experience, and obviously this is just anecdotal evidence, that moms' dreams tend to be pretty good predictors--I know, I know 50/50 chance and all.
I've had two dreams it's a boy and one about a girl. I think it's a boy but my husband's sure it's a girl, we haven't decided if we're going to find out the sex or not, but it'll be interesting to see who's right!
With both pregnancies, I had girl dreams. Two boys here! Prob bc I wanted a girl worse than anything both times so my subconscious was tricking me. Oh well!
I don't remember any specific girl dreams, but I know I've dreamed about it being a boy at least once (I have a vague feeling that's what I'm having). I'm sure there have been other dreams that I don't remember... This is a fun and interesting topic to consider as I near my a/s.
With my son I had a dream he was a boy and he was:) I just had a dream two nights ago that I was having another boy:) I have my ultrasound on Friday so we shall see:)
My husband and I both dreamt last night that baby was a girl... Just a coincidence? I don't know, probably! It was still exciting, as we don't know the sex and are in the home stretch (thank god)!!!!!
I have dreamt my whole life I was going to have a boy, and I've told my family for years I would have the first boy. Couldn't tell you why, or what made me think this, but I was right. No idea about any future LOs though.

I dreamt that baby was a girl, my mam told me I was wrong because she's dreamt he was a boy, and he is a boy so I was wrong. But it is a 50/50 chance so half the time mamas will be right.
I've been told by the ultrasound tech that I am having a boy, but we never were actually shown the penis. Keep dreaming baby comes out like a doll with no genitalia and yes honestly its kind of freaking me out!
I had SIX dreams that we were having a girl during my first pregnancy. He was a boy. This time around I didn't have any dreams about baby's sex, and she's a girl.
All of my dreams are of a girl. I really have no preference of boy or girl and will be thrilled either way! In addition, I also dreamed I had twins that were talking immediately after birth, and another time I dreamt that the baby crawled under the bed and I couldn't find it. So much for counting on dreams to predict reality.
I used to have very strange dreams about baby during my first pregnancy (no particular gender) but I haven't had any baby dreams this time around... I guess I'm not as concerned about the unknown as I was the first time?
With my third I thought I could be having a girl but a few days before my US I had a very vivid dream of a boy so I knew that's what I was having and sure enough it was a boy.
Sparing the sex vs. gender debate (we won't know the baby's gender for quite some time), I had several dreams and a general hunch that the baby was a boy, and I was wrong.
I didn't dream about mine but the day I found out we were expecting I just knew it was a boy. Also while I was at my first appointment and little boy ran up to me and pointed to my stomach saying "baby" so I took both as a sign it was to be a boy and gender reveal proved me right.

My mom was convinced that my older sister was a boy, she was all wrong...
This time around I didn't have any dreams about baby's sex, and she's a girl.
I've had one where baby was a Lego. That freaked me out.
