TTC after 35

Just Tested and Got a BFP

Hey all,

I tested a week ago, knowing it was a little early, and got a BFN so I didn't get my hopes up, but when AF was 2 days late I decided to test.  I went to the store and got the generic brand, because I wasn't getting my hopes up from the week before result, but this time it was a BFP!  It killed me to not call DH right away and tell him over the phone, but I wanted to see his face.  So I saved the test, and when I got home from work, tossed it to him and said I don't know if it's the result he wants since our timing wasn't perfect this cycle, he looked at it and said 'yeah, I have super sperm!'  It was such a cute moment.  After that I couldn't talk and gush about it with him, because he needs to process things for a little while (it sucks, but that's how he works).  We ended up telling our 6 year old daughter that night because since she's part of the family, I thought she should know before my folks or IL.  She was so cute and it was nice to talk about what's going to happen.  We even went through the pics on the bump app about what size the baby is.  Today was my Dad's birthday, so I told my immediate family and we will tell DH's immediate family at a memorial next week.  I know both are early, but both are one of the few times the whole family is together and this way someone doesn't complain that they were told later than the others.  Fingers crossed for a healthy journey.  It seems like June is a good month so far by the other posts I've seen.  Good luck to all!
