Period!?

I had my LO 6weeks ago
And my first period started a week ago.
Its so heavy! More blood than I had after given birth.
It's like a tap has been turned on! TMI
I know .
I was just wondering how long your first period last?
And is it normal to be so heavy?

Mine is also very heavy. I am just shy of 6 weeks. My OB gave me some birth control to start today and I am looking forward to it stopping my period!!

I still got a few more days before I have my appointment about birth control. Can't wait hopefully it will stop this period or at least slow the flow.
I'm having to change every half hour a maxi pad. That's how heavy it is Tampax are pointless.
I'm so bloated aswel with it I look 6 months pregnant again!!

I would call if you are bleeding that heavy. My office always says call if you have to change it more than once an hour. I am too nervous to try tampons yet.

I've got an appointment for tomorrow to be checked over..
Because it's more blood than I had after having LO..
I was a bit wary of tampons but I thought a tampon and a pad will stop any leaking but didn't work.
My periods have never been normal tho.
They're always been heavy but nothing last this and my periods length is anything from lasting 2-10 weeks long

I think this is something that a lot of women experience pp, but you should still call your doctor and make sure you are healthy. Good luck!
