I have been on progesterone since May 13th. Today I am running a low grade fever of 99.5 F. Could this be from the injections or should I be concerned?
I've never heard of it nor had a fever while on it. I've been on it since mid April and have had no problems except the painful back from twice daily injections. If you're worried, a simple call to the dr isn't out of line. I've called my Dr office TONS OF times just to get a nurse to confirm I'm fine and it's no big deal.
I also haven't had a fever and have been on them for about 12 weeks now!
Another question progesterone related have you ever had one injection that really hurt for ages after? I am in a lot of pain after this mornings one. Usually it hurts but this one is really sore and is swelling quite a bit! Could I have hurt myself?
Do you think it may be just that my butt has had enough? I'm finding it hard to find spots to inject as its gone really hard and they are getting more not less painful!
Never had a fever from pio. It's probl from something else. Better to see what the dr says.
@somewhereinafrica yes you can hurt yourself doing them. Make sure you are injecting in the right spot. My dh was in charge of doing all of my pio and del estrogen and hit my sciatic nerve on both sides. I still don't have feeling and it was 7 months ago. My re even said he injected it right where he should have but I guess he hit it anyways. Try a warm compress after the injection. That might help

My hcg level was good yesterday. Doubled in less than 48 hours. So that is good. I think I had a stomach bug. Dr. Said not to worry about the low grade temp.
These shots are rough. My backside is all bruised and sore constantly. My husband did hit a blood vessel one day and that spot is the most bruised. I also have knots all over. Good luck to you!! I have 7 more weeks of shots to go.
@somewhereinafrica, how far up are you going with the shots? My doctor told me to feel free to move my injections around and to move up and out with the shots. I've gone up to just below the rib cage and it's helped a lot. I also ice for 5 minutes before, rub for 5 minutes, then use a heating pad on medium for 15 minutes after. It is quite the long process but since I switched to taking the time to do all of that, the injections hurt less and I don't have any lumps in my back. I tried to kind of color in a picture of where I was shown to start injecting after my butt was too sore to use anymore and my numbers have been great, the red area. Like I said earlier, up and out. Maybe call your office first to make sure they think it'll be ok for you too.
@amaybragg, I've hit a few blood vessels, it's ridiculous! There was blood all over the carpet, looked like a barbie murder scene! Glad your numbers are doing better.
