Hard to bend over already!

I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow and it's already a pain to bend over! It's actually physically painful sometimes. I can barely get my boots on anymore! Going to have to put a bench by my door I guess. I always thought it was funny how pregnant ladies have to squat to pick stuff up but I totally get it now! Lol I feel like I'm not even that big. My mom keeps reminding me it's just going to get worse haha.

Re: Hard to bend over already!

  • It is for me; I'm only 22 weeks.  I had to raise our bed so I don't have to fold over so much at the waist to make it, and I can't really pick the dog up (dachshund, so low-lying).

  • I am 25 weeks and putting on shoes is a chore. Actually bending over is just plain tough.

Two days ago I finally could not pick up a pot from the bottom shelf. I am bad at bending over anyways so I squat but, my legs are under my stomach. Well, can't do that anymore. So I squat and spread my knees apart then bend over. Very technical. Lol
  • 24 weeks and the struggle is real! Putting on my socks and boots is difficult. I'm so worried I won't be able to get them on by myself closer to my due date! I don't even want to talk about trying to get out of bed.
  • Yesss. I'm 27 weeks on Monday and it gets harder every day to bend forward. I've been using the sumo squat technique like @v1wwo describes lol.
  • I'm convinced my dog is passive aggressively pooping in harder to reach spots along our walks just to watch me suffer as I try and clean up after her! :-\ I've definitely been working on squatting, though, bending hasn't really been an option for a bit now.
  • I love these threads because they make me feel so much better! Yes! I dropped my keys in the parking lot this morning and bending down to pick them up was way too much work lol. I usually do the sumo squat move as PP's said, but I was wearing a skirt and trying to be "lady like" and the squat was not an option!

  • I have been channeling my inner ballerina and practicing my grand plies when I drop anything...however, unlike the beautiful, graceful ballerinas on stage, I usually have to groan/grunt when I do!

  • Luckily, our puppy is training to be a service dog, so whenever I drop something, he picks it up for me. I wish he could pick up his own poop too. I have to do this weird squat/leg spread thing to pick it up. For me, getting back up is the hard part. It usually consists of sweating, heavy breathing, grunts, and a few curse words before I'm able to get back up. I feel like a turtle stuck on its shell sometimes.
  • Yeahhh.. I feel like getting one of those little dinosaur grabby toys from the zoo so I can pick things up when I drop them! And don't even get me started on the shoes. What a pain.
  • Lol at pp, lots of groans and grunts here too! And as for putting my trainers on... Ohhh.... I've learned to swing my foot over to the side to compensate the bump lol.

Yes... It's an ordeal lol, one which my hubby finds highly amusing..... The swine ;-)
