Hi there! I've been lurking for a bit and love this board. DH and I are TTC. I was previously married before and ex-DH and I went the fertility specialist route with no success when we discovered I had PCOS. I've got some health issues unrelated to infertility and got my health in order. I've actually lost 100 lbs and for the first time in 4 years, I ovulated this cycle! I was so dang excited at even the possibility that we can try to get pregnant with that positive OPK result that I cried. I've been on Metformin for 4 years now just because the PCOS was so severe but this is the first time that I actually ovulated. We aren't telling friends that we are TTC because I did that before with my ex-DH and felt like I could never avoid the sympathy and questions when we were unsuccessful. So I'm really excited to even be able to tell "someone" - even a bunch of strangers! Haha!
Woohooo!! Congrats!! I also have PCOS, but I needed to gain more weight in order to start ovulating. Its incredible when your body finally starts to work the way you want it to. 4 years is such a long time for that struggle. I went over a year without ovulating and I was going crazy, I can't even imagine how you must've felt when you finally got that positive So awesome! And welcome!
Re: New to the board and personal celebration!
