Echogenic heart?

hey all, so I went in for my second trimester ultrasound last week and the doctor noticed the baby's heart was echogenic. He referred me to a specialist who said that the baby's heart seemed abnormal but was working fine, he then referred me to a fetal cardiologist. After visiting the cardiologist today I was told that one side of the baby's heart is a little thicker than usual and night have been due to an infection (pericarditis) I am now getting an amnio done tomorrow. Wondering if any moms have experienced any similar heart problems? I still have not had any clear answers making it very difficult. I will be 22 weeks tomorrow.

Sorry I have had other issues then heart problems, but I know it's stressful. I hope everything turns out good! Try not to stress I know it's hard but you will be fine

My last daughter was born prematurely at 32 weeks with a heart conditions that was not know during pregnancy. If they caught it that's a sign of relief because now they know what they need to do. It was very scary to not know anything was wrong with baby's heart until we saw the symptoms. Amnio might seem scary but it's important.... Blessings to your little baby and you
