Help!

I had my Daughter last night and we are breastfeeding. Today I was in the shower and notices a tiny hard "lump" I guess you could call it. Is this normal? Or is it something I should ask about? Kinda freaking out. I'm still in the hospital btw.

Sweetie if you are at the hospital - a nurse might be a better (and easier) place to start than here? No? My suggestion; ask one of the nurses.

Sounds like a plugged milk duct but you JUST had your baby so I'm wondering if it's a little too soon for your milk to be coming in. For plugged ducts, the best remedy is to nurse (or pump) on the affected side to get rid of the blockage. Also, massage works and you should definitely bring it up to your postpartum RN maybe he/she can get some ibuprofen approved for you which will help if you've got any pain or inflammation going on. Worse case is at least your doc can check you out to make sure nothing more serious is going on. Btw, congrats on your baby girl!!
