Non stress test

hi ladies, im scheduled for a NST tomorrow morning and not really knowing what to expect other than they want me to push a button everytime DD moves .. My question though, has anyone had the test come back baby being stressed? What did they do about it?

The test should come back as reactive or non reactive. At my office if it was non reactive they sent you to the hospital for a biophysical (whatever that is) and another test. I had one the day my water broke and it showed absolutely nothing out of the ordinary six hours prior. You may also want to try searching for this one as I think it's been asked on here before. There might be some more in depth responses than mine on here somewhere. Try not to worry, it's an easy test and, in my opinion, not always reliable. Eat some fruit before and bring a cup of ice water with you to get baby moving

I had 2 NSTs. The first one was due to decreased fetal movement. Every time he moved, I pushed a button. Mine came back with concern. So, I had an ultrasound right after so they could do a Biophysical Profile. During the biophysical profile, they look for 4 criteria - is baby practice swallowing/breathing?, did baby move (kick, roll, punch) 3 or 4 times?, heart rate is monitored and amniotic fluid levels are checked.

My BPP came back fine, had it not, I would have been send to L&D for further monitoring
