Why is my husband not pampering me enough?

I feel like my husband is not pampering me enough.  He thinks cause he cooks and works that's it.

I get no affection, or kisses, no sweet texts, beg for a kiss before I leave for work and always saying I love you first.

I feel like I'm in this pregnancy alone.  I feel like I'm the only one first time excitement of new baby because my husband has kids with his ex.

Oh, are we supposed to expect those things? Teasing!!!!! My DH and I have been together 20 yrs and affection continues to elude us for the most part. Romance on his part? Absolutely missing. I married a rock (dependable, not creative). I do have it in mind that if I were to offer the affection happily - waddle over (if pg) and grab him if he's on his way out without a kiss - it would work better than asking him to do it - when I am usually annoyed. I am reading the book "Playful Parenting" and it applies to marriage also. If you could be playful about it "OK, darling, I want to PRETEND you are excited about this baby" you might break through the crud more easily. I say that b/c I am finally getting more sleep and feel I might be able to do this myself. Easy talk, one day I'll walk this walk.

my DH is/was much the same way.  But he's been that way for the most part.  I kind of married a Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory.

My hubby has kids with ex and I sometimes feel I'm alone with my first baby excitement. I know he is happy but it is different for him it seems. Prolly just my paranoia.
