Best maternity bras?

Hi all, Just looking for some recommendations for some quality maternity/nursing bras.  Bought a couple at Motherhood, one of which I like (no underwire) and one that I'm not in love with (shocker, with underwire).  I imagine I will continue to grow and will need to buy more in the future, so am looking for some good recommendations.  Thanks!

Re: Best maternity bras?

  • With my daughter I bought 3 nursing bra's from thyme maternity, 1 was no underwire and 2 had the underwire, and I really became to dislike all three. They were uncomfortable and didn't hold their shape well after washing (washed in garment bag and hung up to dry). I ended up buying 2 nursing tanks (one was made to go under shirts) these both came from motherhood maternity and I pretty much lived in those in the summer, they were so comfy.
Just today I got a full support, underwire nursing bra from motherhood maternity, I loved it when trying on so fingers crossed after wearing it regularly I'll continue to love it!

I'm large chested and love bravado bras.
  • I wear a stupid bra size (currently 32J) and I am loving the soft cup from Panache. They do a nursing style as well. I have also heard good things about Cake Maternity.

I second this! They are very supportive and comfy.
  • Bravado's nursing tanks are great too. My favorite nursing tanks are Glamour Mom's large bust long style. After the baby I didn't wear an actual bra for like 3 months. Nursing tanks are the best.
  • Yes on nursing tanks, wore those instead of a bra for a long time after LO was born.  I have a slight coobie obsession (so many colors!). Not really nursing bras, but they are so comfortable and the straps have hooks on back and front, so they are easy to detach like a nursing bra.  They fit me all throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding for a year.  Still wearing the ones I bought years ago.
  • I second the coobie recommendation! There is also a more affordable version by anemone.
  • For something a little sexier and perhaps a tinsy bit more expensive, try You! Lingere. But honestly, the ones I liked the best had no padding or underwire... Nursing tanks and bras found at Target! They might not be as supportive but the ones that claimed to be really supportive just hurt or were truly uncomfortable. You can also ask a seemstress to transform any regular bra into a nursing bra.
  • Nordstroms online had a really great selection of nursing bras and maternity tanks as well as maternity bras. they're a little more expensive but they all have really phenomenal reviews
