The past two days I've been SUCKING at drinking water. I just haven't really been drinking anything. My lips are so dry today because of it. MUST.DO.BETTER.
Mine has actually been great! I have been a water drinker for some time, but just was very lax on it... At work, it was easy to be too busy to carry around my bottle and drink because it was whatever, il just have some during lunch. But this week, I've been chugging like crazy! And peeing a lot.
The other morning, after a shower, I noticed my nose was super dry like it was peeling! So I have to get better about moisturizer... It's not part of my routine right now because I use a BB cream as my foundation
I've been doing about 80oz a day - I keep a 20oz cup with me. My husband is a health nut and has always pushed water consumption. It helps he drinks a ton with me and holds me accountable
Downside is going to the bathroom constantly!! Sometimes I don't want to drink any just so I don't have to go - haha.
I have been doing pretty well. I bought a cute 24 oz water bottle at Target and try to drink 3 a day 4 if I am out in the heat. I also bought some individual flavor packs for if I get bored of the flavorlessness,

Careful with the flavor packs, you wanna find ones without aspartame. I just switched mine owner recently.

Thanks, I didn't know that! The one I bought is called True Lemon. 100% natural ingredients and no aspartame!

I've been doing pretty good with the water. But only because I'm on My Fitness Pal and tracking calories and exercise and I'm reminded to drink at least 8 cups. I've doing like 9-12 a day lately. If I get bored with the tastelessness, I use a Mio squirt. Which I freaked out and looked at the ingredients today in case it had aspartame. It doesn't, but it does have caffeine... I don't drink coffee, and I haven't had tea since I got my BFP and I don't drink pop, so I'm thinking whatever caffeine is in that little squirt of Mio should be ok. Right?
I find that I do much better with water when I make a point to track my intake. I have a variety of shaker bottles and they have oz on the sides so I make a note every time I empty one. I need to get back up keeping track because I have been lazy about it recently.
I LOVE water and try to drink a ton even when I'm not pregnant. Lately I've been cutting up strawberry and lemons and putting them in my water and it's sooooo good.
@geojam224- it's a personal choice imo but a little bit of caffeine is not a big deal I believe I was told during my first pregnancy that I could have a can of pop or a cup of coffee a day and I'm sure the amount in a little squirt of mio is not as much in one of those cans of soda.
I'm drinking around 3 glasses while at work, but at night I'm so thirsty and I chug-chug-chug! And I have the same opinion on caffeine. I'm not a coffee or tea drinker, but I like the occasional soda, so I have one.
While opinions vary, they tend to settle out around a limit of 200-300mg per day. A soda is around 30–50mg, depending on the brand and assuming it's one that actually has caffeine (many root beers, white sodas and other flavored sodas do not). So I figure one soda is just fine.
This was an awesome reminder! Also, yesterday I was so so on my water intake and I had this crazy bout of cramps. I chugged a bunch of water and today I feel better already!
I am terrible at drinking water but it is winter here (New Zealand) and my skin is very dry so I am drinking a lot of herbal tea and trying to drink before meals instead of snacking.
I am so bad at this game. *goes to get a really big glass of water*
I wind up feeling like I need to drink a ton in the evenings to make up for my lack of day-drinking (ha!), and then just wind up having to pee all night long. It's a vicious cycle.
I remind myself how much pregnancy constipation sucks and drink more. I actually told my husband if he wanted to convince me to drink more water then he should remind me how much the constipation during my second pregnancy sucked rather than trying to just tell me it's good for me.
I'm constantly thirsty so I've been pretty good about water. I could definitely drink more--sometimes I get focused on an activity and before I know it, I'm desperate for water.
I've always been so bad about drinking water so drinking at least 64 oz a day has been hard for me! I'm really weird and can't drink water unless it's ice ice cold. Otherwise it gives me a stomach ache (as stupid as that sounds..).
I've been drinking a lot of water since my last pregnancy and through BFing DD1 (when I was drinking a gallon and a half at my height). I'd guess I'm drinking 100-120 oz a day of just water.
@marie8elise - I can only drink ice cold water, too. And I prefer carbonated water if I can get it!
