dilation and effaced ??

Ok I'm not understanding this the way my Dr explained it to me.. she said that I'm dilated to 3 external And They Can Feel The Head But Its Behind My cervix. What does that mean exactly? Do I need to be installing my carseat or do I still have 2 weeks? I'm trying to relax as much as possible so no rush lol!

I have no idea when your baby could come but I would definitely have your car seat installed just in case!

There is no way anybody can tell you when your baby will come. It could be tomorrow or it could be two or three or four weeks from now.
Go get your carseat installed. It only takes about an hour of your time and is super informative - I just did mine with a certified tech last week and I learned a lot! Statistics are that 80% of car seats are installed incorrectly by just parents alone, and lo and behold, ours was!

Moral of my story? Go get your car seat installed!

^^^this .. And Your car seat (base) should be installed regardless by now

I can procrastinate with the best of them, but dang. You're probably going to want to have that seat installed well before your child's head is protruding through your cervix.
