I recently discovered I have pcos. And its been hard trying to conceive our second. Has anyone out there tried anything naturally that helped. The doc wants to start me on metformin. I'm scared because I've heard so many people have side effects. I'm trying Vitex and seeing if that works. I would really like some advice
IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!! Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized. Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
Also FertilAid, OvaBoost and CM by FairHaven were great combos of lots of the herbs that helped me. Much more convenient. https://www.fertilaid.com
If you have questions let me know. We did the fertitly clinic route with zero success and then I decided to try a natural approach and we conceived our son. It has been the only way for me to get and maintain consistent cycles.
I had a lot of luck using herbs and supplements and diet! A few of the best are maca and vitex.

Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube #11 or IVF with scarring still inside? 1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
As @Ellebelle2384 said, the majority of this board (minus some lurkers apparently) have not had luck with natural treatments and are working with Drs on IUIs or IVF. The ladies on the TTCAS board might have some more insight.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 18 at 30 me and Hubby tryed to get pregnant for 5 years I decided to get help and was put in clomid I ended up in the hospital because my ovaries were over stimulated from the amount of eggs released, I was to afraid to try again because of what I went though and decided to just go straight to IVF it took on the 1st try and I was having triplets but sad to say the twins died at 15 weeks but I was left with one precious baby boy. Fast forward almost 5 years my periods went from 8 a year to 2 a year. On Nov 11th of 2014 I went to doctor to discuss if I would ever be able to have kids seeing I had not had a period since May of 2014 I was very sad and depressed and thought I was just headed towards premenopause at the age of 39 but surprisingly i started my period November 19th. Months went by again no period not really a big suprise seeing it's been an issue my whole life well one morning I woke up sick to my stomach and threw up that was the only time I thought that was weird. I sat on my bed and was like us know I'm going to take a pregnancy test I know it's stupid to think for one second I would ever be pregnant but I did and it turned up positive!!! I could not believe it I ended up taking 10 more because I was in such shock and disbelief. I went to the doctors the following day and found out I was 15 weeks pregnant. I had zero symptoms beside that one morning. I'm now headed towards my 26th week and due in sept. I wanted to share my story with you because it is possible to conceive with PCOS you might need a little assistance but don't get discouraged it will happen. Best of luck and just know there are people with it that go one to have healthy babies.

And don't go see her RE - ooh. Do me. Will I ever bleed again? I would love to have a period.

Good heavens. I'm sorry that I just experienced another loss and took a break for a week from the bump. And sorry for inconveniencing you all that think other options are ridiculous. I've been through rounds of IVF and timed cycles with every hormone on earth to no avail. I thought sharing what I've had help with someone that is asking for alternative methods would be helpful. You all are so rude. I've lurked forever here seeing if there were other things to try and finally offered something that has worked for me.
Generally its helpful to intro first, you wouldn't just walk into a room of people and join a conversation without introducing yourself first. We literally don't know who you are. I'm sorry for your loss.
