Congrats to her but KK's "infertility struggle" really rubs me the wrong way. Anyone else?

    Did she ever actually day what her dx was? I just read an article about her saying North was a miracle and that she was going to a RE and possibly looking at surrogacy, but it didn't say why.

    She did have pre-e, but I'm not sure if that's related to IF. Kardashians complain about everything if they don't get it instantly.
    IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    Her "I did IVF and it didn't work" statement drives me crazy. IVF doesn't work the first time in many cases and sometimes not at all, but she seemed to have the attitude of I did it once and I'm moving on because I'm impatient. I saw somewhere that DOR may be a possible DX but I haven't read that in any articles where she was quoted. Who knows.

    There was an episode about her having surgery for a retained placenta not sure if that causes scar tissue etc.


    TTC#1 for 19 months with PCOS and MFI IUI#3 + injectables = BFP!!!!  Beta#1-134(13dpiui) Beta #2-392(15dpiui)

    Yes I think this might have been the cause for her struggles. My sister was telling me the same thing.

    Yes, super annoying. They make a big deal about everything. There was an article in one of the mags titled Kim's IVF nightmare. Turns out it was 1 failed transfer. Of course bad news, but hardly a nightmare. I've had 6 failed transfers, extensive RI testing, etc., and I still don't consider this a nightmare compare to what some ladies go through (recurrent losses, etc.).

    DOR and AMA
    2/12-5/12: 4 IUI cycles = all BFN;
    7/12: DE IVF # 1 (with ICSI)- 20R, 16M, 14F, 5DT of 2 blasts; 6 frosties = BFN;
    Lupus anticoagulant initially high, then found to be normal on hematology consult;
    Follow up testing in September all clear;
    Started synthroid for "high normal" TSH;
    FET # 1- late October 2012- BFP on FRER; beta # 1- 21(low), beta # 2- 48 (still low), beta # 3- 132, beta # 4- 1,293; beta # 5- 5,606; last beta- over 100,000. First u/s 11/21- heard heartbeat
    12/12- Officially an OB patient!
    Level 2 ultrasound at 20 weeks shows vasa previa and VCI
    Referral to MFM and mandatory c section for delivery
    Beautiful baby girl born at 34 weeks
    Finally home after 15 day NICU stay!
    Trying for sibling: FET # 2- May 2014; beta 5/31, BFN
    FET #3, early July 2014; beta 7/14, BFN
    DE IVF # 2- August 2014; 14R, 13M, 11F, 5dt of 2 blasts (3 AA), 5 frosties = BFN
    FET #4- December 2014, yet another BFN

    Dr. KK work up shows borderline uterine blood flow, elevated NK cells, and MTHFR mutation (homozygous for c677t)

    Added baby aspirin, prednisone, supplements, Metanx, and intralipids

    Switched to large clinic for final attempt; had endometrial receptivity testing in January; FET March 2015 = yet another BFN

    Likely OAD- NBC

    I was afraid I was being hypocritical by judging her/the way they've gone about sharing their IVF story. I feel better seeing I'm not the only one with that "ugh" feeling!!

    2 Ectopic Pregnancies
    1 Round of Clomid
    1 Fresh IVF Cycle
    1 Bean and 5 Frosties!
