Frustratingly, they can turn all the way up until they're about to be born. The good news about this is that your mister may turn again-- if he has in fact flipped sideways or butt-down.
Granted, I'm a bit behind you, but I felt my "little" girl do a somersault this weekend. It hurt like crazy!!! My stomach stretched; my cervix stretched; there was no denying the acrobatics she was up to. I'm not sure which way she's facing now...
Doctor says that if they can't confirm what direction Baby is in when you're in labor, they can run a quick u/s or poke your cervix and it'll be obvious. A funny aside-- my doctor even described how sometimes when she does this check, her finger has accidentally pushed into the baby's bottom...as in the hole. Lovely, eh?
I feel this baby on both sides as well. I think at this point they are just that large....... And if you tense at all when your feeling then it can throw you off. I'm not saying I know which parts I feel..... Because I don't! Now you give me a patient lying in bed and relaxed and I can Leopolds maneuver that all day.......
Is anyone else over the aerobics these kids are doing? I swear that someone told lo there is a 3am sumer salt class that she adamantly participate in. I can see her moving from side to side. I think she is just big and likes to stretch.. hoping to find out more tomorrow at my appointment.
I occasionally get those large bulges on each side (like I think you're describing), which also had me concerned LO had moved from head down (since like week 30) to sideways. My 39 week ultrasound showed head was still down.
I cannot FATHOM what is going on in there! Other than it's super obvious when little knees move across my belly like a setting sun - LO frequently flips sides.
Me: what are we gonna do when we don't have my belly to watch all evening?! DH: Uh, watch our BABY?! Me: oh yeah... 8-}
@queequeg09256 the most painful crazy movements are when the butt and or other parts shove through where my stomach muscles are split..... It's a tear like pain. They must have split just recently for this to feel this bad. The 3am gymnastics club is what we should call it....... What do u think?! On Wednesdays we dress in pink?!?!
That would happen to me and he was still down - just curled up with his back one one side, and I guess maybe stretching legs out to the other, but yeah, its kind of a mystery

I think mine was trying to claw his way out last night. Someone needs to let him know he should be moving down! He shifts from one side to the other a lot too. Cracks me up watching my belly shift.

Found out via ultrasound BTW
