I just started re-reading a book that might be good to add to the list. It's a multi- generation fairy tale story of mothers. It's beautiful and odd. Thought I'd throw it out there in case there was interest: The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
@mamafromero Im totally in! I read a book during my last pregnant called (Baby Bumps: The Almost, Barely, Not Quite True Story of Pregnancy, Bed Rest and One Batsh*t Crazy Family) by Amy Sprenger. It was hilarious. Ive also been Reading The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding if anyone is interested in that one too. Just a couple suggestions.
Didn't see this board until now! I'd love to join. Should be finished with my current book in a few days.
My dr recommended a book to me which i bought and was going to start next week. It's called Parenting from the Inside Out - anyone heard of it?
I can always read that alone if not in this book club. But yes, I'm a slow reader too but love it. Have a stack of to reads to get through but id love to try with this!
I had to go back and find this thread, I couldn't remember who had started it. I have not even started the book yet!! I really plan to start soon, anyone still reading?
Im still game… maybe we should post it on Monday since that is when everyone is mostly active and see who is still game.. maybe we should give everyone a month? LOL
Ooh I love book clubs & books (can you tell I'm a professor?) just a heads up- first book on audible is free I believe. What if we set a deadline of August 1? We can do a check in in a couple weeks to see how it's going. Any of you that have already read it want to start coming up with discussion questions? yay! This beats my "The Everything Get Ready for Baby" book that I've been reading!
So I stole a couple questions from another BMB because I am in no way creative in the literary sense. But here are some questions we can think on before our discussion:
-What was your favorite part? -What parts did you relate to the most? -Did any part make you fear or get nervous about anything new? -Did the author's real-life vaccine beliefs affect your reading of this book? (not mentioned in book) -Did you learn anything new from reading this?
If anyone has better/more questions to add, please feel free to do so!
I like when discussions don't make me feel like I'm writing a book report, LOL. My last BMB did a book club but the woman was posting like in depth questions about plot and crap, not even things about if I loved or hated it.

Any other book suggestions?I'd love to read some light fiction about pregnancy. I tried to find some on Amazon and all that came up was, yknow, pregnancy prn. Had no idea there was even such a thing and couldn't find a way to tell amazon it wasn't my thing. Ew. So book lists would be very welcome!
