pcos...help!

Ok...let me sum it up first then I have a couple questions that if anyone can help that'd be great.
I've been married 9 yrs we never avoided pregnancy and I had irregular periods. Once I graduated college in 2011 we started trying. LH sticks never detected O..yet saliva fern and BBT appeared to be okay...still no luck yet all tests were coming out fine. 6 months ago a special type of ultrasound showed what the blood work and symptoms hadnt...it appeared I have PCOS. I was placed on femara for days 2-6...then supposed to start progesterone 3 days later if I feel we concieved....now here comes the questions.....
This cycle my ultrasound showed I should O on the 16th maybe a little later...no LH was positive...yet earlier in cycle ultrasound confirmed I had 2 maturing eggs.....I forgot to test 2 days...then continued testing...yesterday I started progesterone cus I knew I should've O'd by now...even tho I had creamy mixed with ewm....it had been just creamy the 2-3 days preceeding...it took the progesterone when another LH was negative...tonight I have even more ewm..and my cervix is still high....but the opening seems to have moved off to the side....we've had bms every other day except the last few....could the sudden onset of ewm be a sign we concieved or is it delayed O...or something else? Did I start the progesterone too soon? My period should start in roughly 10 days.....#2. Anyone else ever have their cervix always feel high?
Anyone else have pcos and had luck conceiving?
Any other tips...
Ty

I have PCOS and I am 28 weeks with twins. The hardest thing to compensate for is that even while on meds there is no sure fire way to know when or if you are going to ovulate. I wouldn't look too hard into the specifics of discharge etc because a lot of that can be affected by the meds. I did 3 IUI cycles and when the third consecutive cycle cambr back bfn we decided to take a month off to regroup. That following month I found out I was pregnant with twins from the previous cycle. So why the negative? It appears I didn't ovulate at the right time for the insemination to work but rather a bit later on and I got pregnant through intercourse. And even though I was technically pregnant at the time of the bfn it was still to early to detect because the timing of when conception occurred was different from what they predicted. Taking the progesterone doesn't really affect the outcome it is supposed to just help the uterus thicken to enhance chances of a strong implantation. My fertility doc makes all patients start it a few days after IUI or IVF regardless of whether we "feel" it worked. Trust me, unless you've been pregnant before it's extremely hard to know if it worked that early on. I literally had no symptoms until the following month and I noticed I was extremely fatigued and was about due for a period. It was only a few days later when the morning sickness started and oh boy you can't ignore it then. The meds change your body so much that side effects you feel can always be interpreted as signs of pregnancy. My best recommendation for anyone with PCOS is to wait until you hear the result before getting overly panicky and even after a BFN to keep testing for a few weeks after. I assumed the BfN was accurate because I had a "period" which my doc later told me was implantation bleeding. That bleeding really was no different from any other period I've had so again don't automatically assume anything. I don't want to encourage false hope but if this happened to me it could potentially happen to others too and I would have loved to know this info. Good luck!

That is one of my worries is on cd2-6 I'm supposed to take femara which is not supposed to be taken if ya could remotely be preg. And I don't want to mistake implantation as a period and take femara and cause a miscarriage. ...I'm thinking when the time comes I'll be asking for a blood test....also did u find ur cycles were longer than others. ...like my average cycle is 32-35 days....just curious. ..

Mine are longer. They always have been. But after going off birth control they never went back to normal. I would go months without one and then have one. I even had one that went on full blast for 3 weeks which eventually led my doc to suspect PCOS. One misconception the RE told me is that people assume that if you have a period you ovulated. For people with PCOS that's not necessarily the case. The fluctuation in hormone levels can make you have a period even without ovulation. That's why at the fertility doc they would do ultrasounds every time to track follicle growth, etc. If you have follicles grow and they aren't released they become a cyst and it means you don't ovulate. That's where the cysts in PCOS come from. The doc should def do a blood test. I always had to have an ultrasound before restarting a new cycle just to double check everything too. Better to be safe than sorry.

That's me...roughly cd11 they do an ultrasound to ensure the follicles are developing normally and to ensure the femara isn't over stimulating my ovaries....I was like that too...as a teen until current diagnosis of pcos I would have a period every 3-4 months...and even then they were super light....then I suddenly had a super heavy and long period to the point they put me on birth control to try and stop it....it did but it made me feel sick...still never was diagnosed with pcos cus all the labs came back normal...and supposedly the ultrasound looked ok....it wasn't until early this year my fertility specialist said your ovaries have several small cysts...that combined with your history...item betting you have pcos...and nd then this new journey of treatment started...
