Prometrium in the 3rd trimester

hi I'm 29 weeks and 3 days , to be honest I'm a little panicky rite now because my sister In law just informed me that the medicine I was prescribed (Prometrium ) should not be used any later than the first trimester because it can then cause harm to the baby ! So that being said I'm still on it and have been taking it for awhile , I'm really starting to think my doctor is nuts ! Any advice on what I should do

Prometrium is perfectly safe during pregnancy.  It is a natural progesterone.  Some other synthetic progesterones, however, can cause birth defects.  Your sister is probably confusing prometrium with these synthetic progesterones.

Ok I called my pharmacist because my doctor was in a rush I guess but thanks

Yea, Prometrium is class B, which means there's no evidence of risk in humans. I would trust your doctor, who is a professional trained in, you know, medicine, over your SIL.
