hello, I'm new to this stuff but I was hoping to get some inspiration from other's success stories. My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months now. I don't temp but I do keep track of my cycles (always have). My cycles are usually 26-29 days. I've been using opk for the last 3 cycles and I usually peak at day 13&14. Hubby and I both take vitamins and eat fairly healthy. My question is how many of you have used either pre seed or soft cups (or both) and had a SUCCESSFUL pregnancy before . I keep hearing so many mixed reviews about pre seed and it's sort of discouraging . Please help !!!!

Im getting the feeling you haven't lurked. Your statement in bold doesn't quite sit well with me. Many of the women here are temping. Temping can be quite useful and isn't considered crazy. It can take a healthy couple under 35 a year to conceive. I wish you the best. I have no advice on using pre seed or soft cups. Pre seed does not help one to get pregnant, it is only a sperm friendly lube. Using the search function may help answer your questions.
Edit: Quote box fail

Preseed does not get you pregnant. It is just a lube. Temping is not crazy, it's the only way to confirm that you're ovulating. If you want to be doing everything you can to give yourself the best chance each month, temping is the way to do that.
You know what I just edited my post and apologized for offending anyone with saying temping was crazy I also explained what I meant when I said it. I was simply looking for some advice on things that may have worked in the past for others that used pre seed or soft cups I don't need the snooty tude. I didn't mean it the way it was taken

You posted on a public forum. You can't dictate the kind of responses you get. Your attitude may not be well-received here, but good luck.
This is why I never post on sites women are too fuckin bitchy instead of trying to help me every one wants to jump on one mistake I made. When I say busy I mean I'm in the military where I have many jobs inside of my job along with training and fitness so for ME that's busy please excuse me for making a statement on MY life Good fuckin grief
just wanted to add my 2 cents (for what that's worth) as a science nerd I've researched this to death. There is currently no evidence for either preseed or soft cups (over a control group with similar demographics not adding anything above and beyond). There is a Canadian version of pressed zestica which actually does have evidence supporting a slight increase in sperm motility (although with an identified conflict of interest and not really a robust sample design). If you are aiming to increase sperm motility CO enzyme q10 has shown promise in animal studies and has actually been accepted in the RE community as "something that might help but won't hurt"
The best evidence is for fertility focused intercourse (sex during your fertile week). Obviously the best evidence is for using ultrasound/bloodwork to determine ovulation with sex 2/1 day prior to ovulation. As we don't have that kind of technology BBT tracking and then OPKs are next in line for determining not the fertile week. More sex near ovulation increases chance of conception with the caveat that every other day sex is just slightly less as good as every day sex ( so not clinically significant).
Ps this is not written for the OP but for others who find their way to this thread looking for science (because knowledge is power)

First of all, no name-calling. Super lame.
I used preseed, but only because we needed a sperm friendly lubrication. That's all it does. Soft cups are not necessary. Temping is extremely helpful in determining your ovulation date, otherwise you are just making an educated guess (if you are using OPKs and checking CM). I work full time and wake up at 4:45 every day, and I managed to temp. It's honestly the simplest and cheapest thing that can help you out. The attitude needs to take a hike, though.
Childish too. Thanks for all the catty bullshit you really helped me
You seriously need to calm down. I did not have a snotty tude, I'm not even sure how you can convey that over the Internet but if that's how you took, it's probably your problem. Your question was answered, sorry if it wasn't want you want to hear but we aren't gonna blow smoke up your ass and get your hopes up.

Also, since I'm already being accused of trolling & looking for little things to blow up, can I just put it out there that this "successful pregnancy" thing is really offensive?
I think if you take the time to understand where people on here are coming from vs. slinging obscenities you'll learn a lot. Lurking is definitely a plus before posting on here.
Oh, gotcha. I know what a diva cup is.
So, how would that improve the chances of getting KU? Do you mean that people use it after sex to keep fluid from leaking out?
Yep. It's a recipe for a UTI.

Think like a Diva Cup for your menstral cycle to hold all the goop in your vag after sex. The drawback being that a) all the sperm is well on its way to where it needs to go on ejaculation b) the leftover stuff people are trying to keep in is literally food for sperm and dead sperm (won't help anyone get knocked up) c) that's a recipie for a UTI. Google it if you want to vomit in your mouth a little (as a side note it is amazing as a menstral cup, it's intended purpose)
