I did. My boss wasn't pregnancy friendly, and I ended up leaving. However, when I was there, it was an incredible workout. Very stressful on the feet, though!!! Good luck, you can do it!
I work at subway 45 hours a week. It's pretty rough some weeks. I try to have my days off separated to give myself a break, like Wednesday/Sunday Thursday/Sunday. It can be really rough. I'm taking a week vacation here soon just to be able to relax and recoup for the second half lol
I have with both pregnancies.. It's rough. I was a supervisor and My manager last time was horrible and tried to make me push runs with tons of product on them which guys in the company even had trouble pushing. She refused to let me sit at all, and would say the most horrible things to me.. Made me work double shifts the week before I gave birth.. 6am till after midnight. Even while I was having Braxton hicks contractions and I absolutely had to sit down for only 5 min she complained.. Needless to say she is no longer with the company and got fired while I was on maternity leave.. I don't work nearly as much as I used to this pregnancy, but it is tough being on your feet all day. I plan on quitting much sooner this time.
I am a Manager at Target. Constantly on my feet. In fact I had plans to go workout afterwards but my feet became too swollen that I had to go home and elevate them. Really bummed because I was looking forward to working out.
Not retail, but I teach ballet to 2-6 year olds. So definitely on my feet quite a bit and lots of bending and stretching! I'm only part time, but right now we are in full recital swing, so longer days for the foreseeable future.
I worked retail for 12 years but not while pregnant--but I definitely had pregnant coworkers during that time! I feel for you!
My job during my pregnancy with DS and immediately prior to losing my angel was working as a Direct Support Professional in a group home. Lots of being on my feet, walking up and down stairs, and even heavy lifting (didn't do that part while more than 6-8 weeks pregnant, but I had coworkers who did!). Dealing with the individuals when my hormones made me moody was the worst (I can only imagine dealing with customers!).
Yes. I was the manager while pregnant with my older two and then went pt after my second was born. Luckily, it's a kids shoe store so the customers were super compassionate. I worked until the end for both and plan to do the same for this one.
What I found helped was to keep lots of water on hand to eat throughout the day. Also, it sounds weird but I tried not to take too many sit down breaks for fear I might never get back up. Once I stopped moving it was all over.
I'm a manager in retail and I cannot wait until my maternity leave! I haven't decided if I'll come back or not, but either way it can't come fast enough. My feet and back are always killing me! Hopefully it goes by fast
If it makes y'all feel any better (probably doesn't haha) my desk job has me feeling as if I have a sore, broken tailbone from sitting all day. I have to make myself get up and walk around (which I can only do infrequently and super briefly since I'm responsible for both the phones and the gate) or I won't be able to walk at all after work.
I work as a almost full time Frozen/Dairy stocker at Walmart. I'm 21w 4d and I'm exhausted by the end of the day. I'm on my feet all day, but it's actually the lifting and bending for stocking that wear me down. I bought a new pair of shoes so since then my feet have felt fine, no swelling. Sometimes I have to get on my knees for certain items and it takes me a minute just to get myself back up. And don't even get me started on stocking the milk cooler with it's stacks upon stacks of milk crates. Ugh. Good news for me though is that in a few weeks I will be moving to a cashier position. No more heavy lifting! But I'll be standing in one spot all day, not sure if I'll like that. As much as I'd like more days off, I really hope they keep giving me a lot of hours, at least while I can still keep up.
Yep. I'm a manager in a retail store (cell phone company)...and it's a combination of long hours on my feet, daily morning conference calls to ensure sleeping in is never an option, haha, and nasty customers that are currently the bane of my existence. They obviously aren't all bad (some are awesome) but we get some doozies, and this pregnancy has broken my "give a f***". Haha.

My poor hubby is so used to me cooking dinner when I get home but now he cooks or we don't eat till 9( I work until 6or 7) if I cook.

Good luck, it's doable and is good excercise!
